When i saw the Halo 2 E3 demo I noticed that the marines would interact with the MC when he looked at them or followed them, etc. Well my point is in Halo and Halo 2 this was not inforced in actual gameplay only in the demo the only level that i really noticed SOME was in metropilis and not that much to boot. If you watch the H2 demo tell me if you think that type of interaction should be inforced in Halo 3. I definetly think it should be.

and when bank goes when i asked for reiforcements i didnt think they'd send a spartan stuff like that

They seriously need some work. Even the ODST's. They're supposed to be kick-ass-almost-as-good-as-Cheif soldiers, but instead they prove to be useless on Legendary.

More interactive AI is always good, although you have to admit, the dialogue was very good, as far as enemy to friendly communication and taunting. Maybe if you came across the Johnson or Stacker, they would lead their troops, not you really, so if you went near Stacker and pressed like, Down on the D Pad, he'd be like: "Roger Chief, Hold this position men, don't let any covenant sone of a -blam!- come through here." Other Soldiers "Roger" "You git it sir" and they'd spread out and find some good defensive positions, and actually defend it. Or Up on the D Pad would be an attack and the SL would say something like "Oorah! Okay men, let's give those bastards everything we got!" and the marines would do a charge or an assault on the covenant position. Although if you had lost some marines, then the SL would say "Are you crazy chief? We can barely keep up with you, maybe we should hold here."

Y'know what I meen, make the soldiers feel more like soldiers, not just some more guns willing to follow you and shoot things without giving any thought at whether what would happen or casualties and stuff. That would be really cool if they implimeted the D-Pad in that way. I know some of you may say "This isn't Full Spectrum Warrior or Ghost Recon" but this is the last installment of Halo, i think they should make every thing as best as they can, and implement all the controls in some sort of way.

Freindly A.I. truly needs an over-haul.

Shouldn't the A.I. be the same, friend and foe. Based on what difficulty setting. Legendary in H2 took me a while to get to grips with. Elites being my worthiest enemy...but my marines where no were to be found! Why isn't it the same?

Thanks :) Also, just to stay on topic, an because Bungie seems to be good at dialogue, they should make the soldier squads feel more brotherly kind of. I meen, A squad is usually a squad forever, from BCT to war, unless they have casualties, but yeah, if like one of your guys was hit, then one guy would like screem out his name, and start fighting more agressivly, or basicly give up if all your guys are dying. This stuff seems complicated, but it really wouldn't be I suppose. I know the emphasis is on the chief I guess, but the marines are fighting for Earth also damnit, and they have given more blood then anyone else.

Also, while we're on the topics of marines in Halo 3, I would wish they brought back the Halo 1 armor and uniform. The Halo 2 armor seems to...present day, and rubber shin pads doesn't do -blam!- if it gets hit by super-heated plasma. The armor plates in Halo 1 seemed more sufficient, and the helmets with the HUD eye piece gave a good sense of the future...ism.

If you saw a jackal in real life, you'd friggin -blam!- yourself. And who sounds like a shrink, me? if so, how? Anyways, Jackals and Grunts, howveer small they seem to the chief are rather large. Grunts are like, what, 4 feet? and jackals the same, if not maybe 5 feet?

ODST's take cover behind a wall and one of them throws a grenade at a group of Grunts and Jackels

ODST: Watch out Grenade.

After the Explosion they stay in cover.

ODST: Clear Them Out

Thats how I invisioned Halo 2 but Bungie failed in the AI aspect, I ope they do better this time.

We need the Marines to be smarter and more interactive. I don't, however, want to be able to order them around. If you did than it would make it seem like too much of a squad based shooter instead of an FPS. What I would LOVE to see is a Marine going up to an Elite, realizing that the enemy is too much for him, then calling for backup. That OR having an ODST walk up to a Grunt, mow him down, then turn to more Grunts and be like, "You want some?" and then having the Grunts run away. I don't know...I just love bad ass characters in games and movies.

It would depend on the way commands are implemented. Look at Half-Life, they had a one button command. It was still suprisingly simple and smooth. And it was optional, the AI could still move around independently. The command was simply there just to prevent allies from doing stupid actions. Which was a HUGE problem in H2.(WARTHOGS?)
