how many land mine threads have there been??? anyway landmines will slow down the gameplay for campaign and in multiplayer y not use rockets?

The lotus anti-tank mines are mentioned in the books, but how could a mine laying system be implimented easily in halo 3?

i think they should only be in MP if in it at all and only long ranged maps so that if your playing CTF or something and your running across the level and you step on one BYE BYE

A mine system would be very annoying, and not everything in the books is in the games.

Halo is fast paced, and besides, laying down mines would only work outside right? Some maps are completely outside or whatever.

And besides, you wouldn't just want to sit there planting a mine, some guy comes up behind you and kills you. Halo is fast paced, and running over mines would get really annoying.

I think they should maybe just stick to fusion cores, but other explosives would be nice too. Things like gas tanks, and pressurized canisters should also litter the battlefield.
