You forgot one. The Beamrifle. That thing only has like 6 freakin shots. Each shot shouldn't use so much energy and you should be able to fire more before it overheats


i like the idea of it having more shots but if you time it right (i think like 2-3seconds apart) you wont over heat

and with the waqrning beep people from battle field two will probly be ticked becuz thats in battle field 2

-Two guns are better than one, but not in everything. There has to be some reason not to dual wield. I was thinking grenades and accuracy over raw power of two guns.
-Commands: I like this one. However the AI is not fine. Give someone a rocket launcher and you will see.

They should have thicker gray trails then. It looks more badass.

The banshee's fuel rod cannon is actually better than in CE. If you mean in multiplayer, then I agree. They would have to make it weaker tough.

About the Human Shotgun:

Its not that the bullets disappear after 10ft or whatever, its that the firing cone (the area where the bullets can actually hit) is SOO messed up. There is a wierd cone extending outward from about 3 feet where the pellets will never hit.
To test it, get the shotgun, go to the base in coag, get into the centre room, stand with your back on one wall and fire repeatedly against the other wall.

Eventually you will see that there is an area right in the centre of were you are aiming that the pellets never hit. Stupid IMO.

I agree. I think that there should be separate ammo for the shotgun, like in real life. Our military shotguns don't regularly use spreadshot ammo, they use slugs. I think it would be a good idea if there was a way to swap out ammo into the shotgun so you could have pellets or slugs, which would have lets say, less range and accuracy than the BR but more damage and stopping power. Also, many shotgun owners load different types of ammo into their shotgun at the same time, so like you would load 2 slugs and then 4 spreads and then 2 more slugs etc.

Theres my 2 cents.

This is kinda dumb but i would like to be able to change the settings on the brute shot from bouncy to explode on impact. U know for like different sittuations. Also when it comes to the AI of the marines i wanna see action from them, that is exactly like the mini movie in the multiplayer pack that u could buy from the store. so that u wouldn't have to worry about wt there doin all the time and if not then add the ability to control them with the d-pad

It would be extremelly difficult to kill some one carrying a gun like that. Not to mention that it would severely complicate the game. A shotgun is known for causing widespread damage over multiple targets.

The AI is not fine dude, have u seen how terrible they are at killing...its like they're meant to be weights that you have to carry around and hold you back.I say make them way better. Come on people they're homeland is being attacked and this is how they shoot?


I agree. There should be a button command using d-pad. Up is hold position, down is follow me, left is get out of vehicle, right is get in vehicle and if they're in the vehicle right is stay in the vehicle. I can't tell you how many times I've been playing "Delta Halo" level and I'll get out of the warthog to move the bridge I'll walk back outside and the marines will be driving around in Ghosts..........So annoying (sigh)

Dont forget outskirts. The marines driving the warthogs were really stupid. They would stop and never move again. They wouldnt even move up ramps that were 2 feet high.

Anyone who has ever hunted with a shotgun or used a military shotgun, like the SPAS-12 (which i have) for example would tell you that they routinely use solid ammunition, and very rarely use spread shot. They would also say that the cone of pellets shot from a real shotgun has a much narrower radius, with greater range. The halo 2 shotgun is nearly useless outside of ten meters, which is extremely unrealistic.

Im not trying to flame you im just defending my argument, you know :)

Unless Bungie fixes the spreadshot, It wont look as cool. The shotgun needs more accuracy though.

The thing I forgot was that if the marines are driving while your in the turret they will keep driving in the same area until all the covenant are dead. Then the keep driving until they run into more covenant. They can't drive just through the level like people. They stop at every group of enemies so you can kill them.

I'm a little less concerned with how it looks as much as how it behaves. lol Even the h1 shotgun would be an improvement bucause of the fact that it has an automatic choke. i.e. (my friend and i would play on h1, shotguns only, on blood gultch with no shields, and, adjusting our aim up to account for the bb trajectory (very realistic) we could hit each other with the shotgun from nearly half the map away. It seems to me that the h1 shotgun has an auto choke whitch makes the barrel a little smaller when you are aiming at targets farther away, thus making the damage cone narrower. However, when you get in close, the damage cone would get larger without the chief seeming to adjust anything on the gun. Seems like 500 years in the future we should have something like an auto choke.) Now, take the h2 shotgun: If you get far enough away, which is not very far, the bb's seem to just dissapear.

yeah the shotgun needs work and i think my friend from bungie already said that they have "experimented with it". We'll leave it up to them, but what needs work is how the vehicles weapons work....like the wraiths or banshees or even the tank...we need some passengers or something to transport ppl from point a to b
