I'm intrested in buying a new computer and was wondering what it takes to run Halo fluidly and as smooth as the Xbox. So, if you could, I would appreciate you posting what kind of parts your computer has in it.

EX... processor, graphics card, and whatnot.

An iMac G5 20 inch, 1 gb of RAM, a 250 gb hard drive, not sure about my graphics card, but it's the higher end model for Halo. It runs flawlessly.

If you're going to get that setup, you'll have no problem playing Halo. Actually, if you get that system, you won't want to play Halo. You'll want to play the other great games that are exclusive to high-end PCs.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

My specs:

P4 3.0Ghz w/HT 800FSB
1.5GB of RAM
Radeon 9600XT All in Wonder
160 GB and 80 GB internal WD HDDs
160GB External HD
17" LCD Screen

I plan on getting a Radeon X800 AIW next along with a stick of 1GB RAM.

I get 130 fps at 1280 x 1024. It'll run you a grand+ but it's well worth it. Tell us your budget and we'll try to help you get the best bang for your buck. Good luck.

If you want smooth online play, i suggest getting a good, fast internet. Make sure it is NOT Dial up.
