This is Halo, not Medal of Honor.
I hate people like you. The people who say, "No, we can't do stuff like that people do in wartime cause it's already been done in other games". People like you always say no to ideas and compare them to other games. If you're going to say no to an idea, then bring up a good valid reason why it's a bad idea. Don't just say "No, this isn't Battlefield/Medal of Honor/Splinter Cell/Rainbow Six, etc.
Ok this is so you don't have to hate me. Halo uses a recticle for aiming, they used it in the first game, they used it in the second game, so lets scrap it for WW2 style shooter setup for Halo 3 because it's more realistic, especially for a game with a cyborg soldier 500 years in the future. Or Bungie will keep doing things they way they have been. And there is your valid reason.
Not saying scrap all scopes all together or even crosshairs.
It's like this, the current BR has two aiming modes, the crosshairs and then the scope.
My idea was to have a rifle that has no scope and has the cross hairs and then for more precision aiming, you can aim down the iron sights.
There can still be another rifle with a scope.
This is in no way to make Halo 3 a WW2 shooter.
you're only comparing it to that because COD2 is the main game played with iron sight aiming.
Modern Combat on the 360 is a joke because they didn't put iron sight aiming like it's PC game has.
Battlefield 2 on the PC is awesome for its iron sight aiming, it's been in all the BF games.
I hear what you're saying, but it seems so out of place to me not to have a scope on a mid-range or longer capable gun in Halo, it just seems to old skool for the game.
