See! You can tell when someone has no idea about the game when they call Spartans in Multiplayer: "Chief"! Master Chief Petty Officer is a rank not a "skin"!

The combat form headshot zones are different, they're not at the very top of the model. Not to mention the fact that they're hard to pick out, even if you do know where they are. I reiterate, the only useable models are the Halo 1/2/3(?) SPARTAN and the Regular/Heretic/honor guard/arbiter elite.
How close-minded of you. Think of asthetics, the head would still be a headshot zone on a flood character model. Everything would be equal and balanced, same sheilds, athletic ability and melee damage. Just a different look. With a Flood-infected Spartan, the hitboxes could even be the same.

I don't give a stuff about asthetics, I care about BALANCE.

A flood-infected spartan. Its perfectly matched with the other two.

Exactly, a spartan combat form, and a elite combat form. if you take away the extreme jumping would fit right in with the other two. more options, with no balance issues.

Well, then we agree. A Spartan or Elite infected with the Flood would make a perfect skin if the head remained the Headshot zone, and had no special abilities above that of a normal Spartan or Elite character model. They would be virtually the same, except for variations in walking, standing, jumping and melee animations.

1. Halo 1-style SPARTAN
2. Halo 2-style SPARTAN
3. Halo 3-style SPARTAN (if he gets new armor, that is)
4. Elite
5. Heretic Elite
6. Honor Guard Elite

I think 6 would be enough. There's probably a few others that they could tweak into gameplay as well.
An idea that might actually work? Am I still in the Halo 3 forum?

Well I am glad someone else who likes the Flood model idea. I just get the feeling that the Flood are left out, and they need to be represented in Multiplayer.
