I've said it before, and I'll restate it in a more formal topic.

Here's what I'm picturing..

A pre-scene before the actual beginning right before it goes to the menu. A bit of sad music plays as the screen fades in. The MC hangs on for dear life within the Forerunner Ship as it's going through slipspace. He's more leaning against the hull, looking dazed from his stand as if half-asleep. The scene goes to a blurry dreamlike state(cue female vocals) as MC has flashbacks. Flashbacks of seeing allies echoingly yelling orders and scream in agony falling around him on a battlefield on Reach. Scores of Covenant stand admist a dust-blown battlefield all firing intensely and mercilessly. Several Covenant falls. As Reach's sky turns hellish purple from being glassed as the Spartans on Reach desperately tries to carry away one of their wounded as clouds enemy dropships blot out the sky, MC is shown motionless, safe within his cryo-tube aboard the Pillar of Autumn as it shamefully flees leaving MC's brethen to bleed and suffer. Then shots of the echoing screams of the dead and the dying Marines on Halo, echoing sniper shot-then another-and another as Grunts faintly scream. Gunfire. All the times MC mercilessly gunned down the Covenant. Next are a jumble of unintellegible murmuring voices that haunt him to the end of Halo 2, as Cortana waves him bye as the Forerunner Ship takes off.

MC lets out a deep regretful sigh, and shakes his head slowly. He then slumps down to the floor to rest. This was a brief moment for the MC, showing his battle-weary state, that he is capable of emotion to both sides and not simply a mindless killing machine.

BEGINNING SCENE:

The very first scene is at Earth. Arbiter, Miranda, Johnson's fate as well as Cortana and Gravemind will have to come later. Main hero gets the opening scene. So, the beginning-As the screen fades out before the cutscene, the dramatic music suddenly explodes(making every Halo player in the world jump-imagine that on surround sound with volume up) across the screen. Hundreds of Covenant ships(in close up detail-not like Halo 2) at the renewed invasion of Earth-perhaps the most heaviest and intense siege of any world by the Covenant ever described. Looks like they're engaging the battered remains of the UNSC fleet at point-blank, cutting through their lines. Plasma and artillery strikes dot out the space, plasma(this time, we actually see Covenant ships fire their bristling plasma cannons) and MACs furiously streaking across as hundreds more UNSC Longswords and Covenant fighters swarm around the supervessels like locusts. Dozens of Covenant ships, UNSC ships, and MACs explode magnificently, setting the space alit with fire. Covenant cruisers also fire upon and methodically destroy each other, as the Brute/Elite conflict rages on still. At this desperate hour, heroics were commonplace as a limping UNSC ship self-destructs itself in the middle of a Covenant battlegroup, causing a chain-reaction of destruction of its flanks.

Two Longswords fly over the carnage, the blinding sun in the background, the camera panning over their bow as a Covenant assault carrier disintergrates below them from a direct hit-breaking in two and twirling out of control like a pinwheel. One of its flank fires a large plasma beam from its bow twice, cutting though another UNSC ship. In the midst of the Covenant fleet and pyrotechnics of plasma and bombardment, the next shot closes up on the Forerunner Ship-rotating elegantly and resonantly like a huge top on its side. The Forerunner Ship is easily the largest ship and object afloat in space. Master Chief braces himself against the hull in the hold. Cuts to Admiral Hood within the Cairo, which is falling apart(as seen at the end of Halo 2). Each seemingly closer Covenant strike shakes the battered station violently. a UNSC ship engulfed in flames moves across to take a hit for Cairo station before it succumbs. Hood braces himself against the console to prevent from being thrown around as he harriedly tells Chief that the defenses are falling rapidly, Cairo is being hit hard, and asking whether he can assist.(admist the sound of muffled explosions throughout the station and the mechanical whining of the MAC). As always, Chief replies a confident affirmative.

The Forerunner Ship prepares to make a beeline towards Earth.

The E3 2003 teaser of Earth under heavy bombardment strikes are also shown.

Thoughts?
