it was in one of my other threads, i dotn know how to make links so ill tell you mine, there have been others to.
in one thread i read some guys got that there are nine spartens not including the chief, in one of the pictures for halo2 were the cheifs in the pelicans in high orbit and in the backround there are NINE, now in the trialer for halo3 there are exactly NINE banshees, and the ones that swoop over head mysterioulsy dont have any legs stiking out, when i saw this it seemed like a government cover up to me :PHmm. I'm one of those "nO mOAR sPARTUNZ!!!!111onene," guys and you are "yEZ HuhZ!!!!111on1ns."
In truth, the only thing even remotely above speculation are the number of Banshees, but still, it is just selective interpretation, speculation if you will. All that other stuff just doesn't cut it. In that picture can you CLEARLY SEE that they are Spartans? No. Does the number of them matter? No. Even if the Spartans were to return, I have a hard time believing that there would be nine of them.
You may say that having more Spartans would be 'cool', I would agree to an extent, hell there isn't anything better than a Super Soldier. But when you think about it, deeply, it isn't a good idea.
First, there were none of them and practically no mention of them in the first two games.
Two, it would steal MC's thunder. Almost all of the other Spartans are more skilled than MC, he is just a good leader. What good would it be to have eleven possible people to save the universe? We already have two, MC and The Arbiter.
Three. I have noticed that most people that want more Spartans also hate Arbiter because he stole MC's thunder. What?!?! You hate it when one other person steals MC's thunder, yet you want nine more that will do the same? I don't think so, no dice.
Four. This is still ALL speculation and selective reasoning/interpretation. This is not proof, period. Proof is Bungie saying there will be or a screen shot of other Spartans, THAT is proof my friends.
I could go on. My advice is to either wait for the game or wait for some ACTUAL OFFICIAL, OBVIOUS information.
