One of the main things i would like to see in halo 3 is Civilians, I mean dont you think it would be cool if when you were on the game you were walking through a street and then suddenly a small family (mum and 2 kids) run around the corner ahead of you and the squad that your with gets in a battle stance ready for a fight, then the family notices your sqad and start to run behind you but 1 of the kids falls over and the mum races back to get the kid and as she bends down to pick him up BAM!!! shes shot in the head and the kid gets up and leans over his/her mum and starts to cry mum, mum get up mum,plz im scared and then an elite picks up the kid and holds it hostage but your squad and you do the noob combo that in that video you get with the map pack and save the kid.
Also having Civilians in the game could add to the rpg aspects of the game (E.G)"master chief ya came just in time we've got a little problem in the next street, its a large group of covie bastards who decided to pik a fire fight with us, me and half my sqaud managed to escape, the rest sir ther...ther gone *holds his head down* as we left they started to set up a transmiter to call dropships they will be here within 10 minintes (realtime 10 minintes) if we dont stop them".Another low ranking marine comes to speak to the mc he says "Sir there a building being attacked its got a large group of CIVILIANS in it i think it will take about 10 MININTES to get them out.
So there you have it you have ot choose between saving the civilians or killing the covie squad before the dropships come.
Having civilians could also add to the replayabilty of the game. And be a good way to implament gamer points.
Of corse you dont have to save the civilians if you dont want to so if your a fastpaced kinda player who wants to do the game fast you dont have to save the civilians if you dont want to.
And remember that bungie could always upgrade missions when u go on live so there is always somthin new to do.
