I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet. It is obvious that Gravemind is Flood/Elite by his mouth. And it seems that Gravemind is the Forerunner who created the flood. So forerunners are elites? Hmm.

OR it's that, like what has been said before, flood gain their physical forms from the bodies of their victims. Which is the majority of flood victims, elites or humans?

I don't know. Maybe all of the Arbitars in the Mausoleum are fed to Gravemind by the Prophets. That may be why Regret is in him or whatever.

I"VE talked about it!!! read my "plot theory" in my sig... it shows how it would make perfect since for the elites to be the forerunners, and it also shows a pretty much perfect possibility for the ending of the halo series!

It has been said that the Arbitar has a big surprise in store for him...maybe it is finding out his race was indeed Forerunner this whole time...

elite does not equal forerunner... it talks it about it in the h2 bonus disc. There was a deleted scene talking about how the prophet and elites were against eatchother then the prophets found a forerunner artifact.

While I commend you for a unique theory, I have to say I think it's probably the most far fetched one I've ever heard.

The Elites HAVE a history, read the books. It does not involve being a Forerunner and somehow surviving the Halos. They were actually at war with the prophets pre-formation of the Covenant.

As per the Human = Forerunner crap... Come on folks. The Forerunners were the most technologically advanced race thus far. Let us just take a moment and consider that a race that advanced would have means of history documentation a little bit better than something that could be lost and forgotten. And then, for no apparent reason, no one passes the knowledge down to their children for generation after generation, forget all about their technology, and devolve into the original humans and start making their way back up the technological food chain again until the jump drive is reinvented? Cmon, that'd just be rediculous. A civilization that advanced is not capable of forgetting that theyre THAT advanced and no catostrophe could ever create that either. I'm not saying humans couldn't be in some relation to the original forerunners - or even from the same planet (earth), but there would need to be a very good reason that a civilization forgot and started from scratch, it wouldn't be we humans in our current stage of evolution.

Anywho, back to the elite thing. They have their own history and gravemind looks nothing like an elite to me. We've seen flood elite forms, they wern't graveminds. Tasty theory, but far-fetched.

I believe that humans were not forerunners but slaves to the forerunners this is why the Covenant wants to eradicate humans instead of asking them to join the Covenant.

Im not saying Gravemind is a giant Elite with tentacles and such; Im saying he is the ultimate command form of Flood that was made by the mimicing Elites. Maybe all the Forerunner were consumed into one giant form? Maybe the Prophets feed the dead Arbitars to this form. It could be alot of things...but you can't get past the fact that he has the mouth of an Ellite.

I came up with a theory on cloning that might explain how all of the races could have survived yet not had any knowledge of where they came from or how to use any forerunner technology left behind.

Dude, then if the forerunners would be Elites then the Oracle would've called the Elites the "reclaimers".

Ok, honestly I don't believe the forerunners were elites. But I do believe Gravemind is a elite form of flood.
