I think it would be cool if Bungie implement a tournment system into matchmaking.

So in addition to all your playlist (Rumble pit, Big Team Skrimish) there would be a Tournment one.

Once you select that, two options will come up:

Host Tournament
Join Tournament

When you host a tournament, you can set the max players, if its FFA or Team game, and you select the number of rounds, and the maps to be played on. You wont have regular host controls, like booting people, because jerks would just boot people who were doing good.

It would also have a leveling system just like matchmaking, so the better you do in tournments the higher you ranks goes, and when Hosting a tournament you could set the allowed ranks to play in the game, like, "Only Ranks 10-20 allowed"

Also you could set the time period of the tournament, so all the games can be done in one sitting, or you could set it over a couple of days.

Theres a lot of kinks and details to work out, but I really think a tournment system could work out.

Thoughts, or ideas.

It not like you win anything, you are still playing for fun.

Any Quake 4 fans out there? I really like how they did their tourney system. Several matches of 1v1 go on simultaneously. If a match ends before the others, you can spectate in a different match. The loosers are dropped out and the winners get paired up with the other winners and go at it again.

Yeah thats cool, but it would need to have bigger teams games, not just 1 v 1 all the time.
