After playing Halo CE for the countless time, I started to wonder where to find the Golden Banshee (as a friend had told me about). I browsed Truth and Reconcilliation for months but never joined, I had no idea what the forum was. Months later I joined this place and got flamed for asking the question of the Golden Banshee.

Loved it ever since.

lol, If only those who flamed you knew you wound up to be a Moderator on Bungies official site.

It all goes to show you everyones a new member at one point or another.

I got into when I thought the commercials were cool. Not too exciting of a story.

I started to go to the Bungie website around the end of 2003, and registered at my registered date. During that time i only came every once and awhile, and when i joined i didnt even know what a forum was. After Bungie redesigned the site and the forums i started coming a lot more to post, and ever since its probably been my most visited website.

It was either '01 or 02' when I started playing.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

To be honest, I got bored doing typing drills in Computer Applications class and browsed around for the Bungie homepage. This was a few months after I first played Halo and I just visited the site often til the new hotness and that's when I joined.

I stumbled upon the Halo community once Halo 2 was announced way back. I watched all the going-ons and checked the news for a couple years and I finally decided to join early this year.

No, I did that with MGS2 and the plot was too confusing. I just bought Halo CE after I saw the cool commercials.

I've led so many people on about that damn thing that I just wanted to say; I apologize to any emotional trauma I may have caused due to my shenanigans.

I had a couple months where all I pretty much did was play video games (Long story, believe me. And don't ask about it. Ever.). I started out with s couple of other titles that I dusted off, and after awhile I thought I might take another whack at this "Halo" game. I thought the game was crap at first- I kept loosing on that damn Library level and thought it was impossible. And then, I finished the game. And after that, I finished it again, again, and again. I loved this game; I thought to myself. I wanted to learn more.

Enter HBO. That website satisfied my cravings for quite some time. I found out that the Halo story was so much more complex than I had ever imagined. I spent hours and hours lurking and reading the story page. This time; I wanted to participate. Thing was, the HBO forums had some "scary" people who made me decide not to post there. So, I did the next best thing and came, as you might have guessed, here.

And I've stayed ever since. We only had two forums back then; and within a few weeks I'd become good friends with two of the members of The Underground (Er, think of The Underground and Septagon, the two original forums, as kinda' like the North and the South of the old Bungie.net. Without the wars.) forum; Shatterstar and Sinister Pig. These two were shortly followed by Zk315 and Josher, and from that point I got to know a lot more cool people that I could in fact relate to in many respects.

This website kept me from going nuts. And for that, I love it (in a non {Damn Profanity filter} [sexual preference}) way.). It kept me going when I was kinda' going through some tough times.

So, in essence; thank you all.

...and if I ever have to repeat that story again, ugh. Thee times and counting.

Nice story. The first level I played was the Library. I thought it was pretty bad at first but when I played some better levels, I loved it!

My friends are obsessed with Halo when it first came out (halo, halo, halo, all the -blam!- time!). They were suprised that I didn't play, so I went to Blockbuster and rented it, liked the game-play, eventually bought it, got H2 limited edition, kept getting owned on XBOX Live, went online and found this website while trying to find E3 announcement trailer, and here I am today, waiting for the released date for H3.

I went looking for information about Halo 1 (since I didn't have an Xbox and therefore had to get my fix at friend's houses and over the tubes) and found B.net and HBO. And then, I realized that HBO's front page changes every day so I had to check it everyday. Wu has done an amazing job as king of the community.

About two and a half years ago I wanted an Xbox for Christmas cause I heard the graphics were better than the PS2's :D. So, Christmas that year, I got an Xbox with Halo and Midtown Madness 3. I've loved Halo ever since.

Lets see now. Ok. A few years ago, my friend got Halo:CE for xbox. I used to go over to his house every week for video games and such. He told me about Halo and we started to play a bit. The controls were odd (my first FPS was Tomorrow Never Dies(James Bond Game)) But I kept playing co-op with him and, well, it was fun. I really liked the Library because it was like a zombie movie. Kinda reminded me of Resident Evil. So after palying Halo, I decided to find the website, because I didn't have an Xbox. I joined the community, but didn't post or get involved. But during Spring Break '06, I got my 360 so I got Halo 2 (don't have CE yet) made a gamertag and a Bungie.net account. The End.

For reading this, you get a e-cookie. ( : : )
