Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

I don't know if this could be modded into Halo, or not, but something in CTF has always bothered me: If the flag is set to return upon being touched, it's hard to defend yourself if you have the flag– one touch on a dropped flag sends it home.

Set it to return itself, and it's almost impossible to return it once it's near the enemy base– if the carrier gets most of the way home, his team will finish the job.

My idea: Set flag to return upon being touched ONLY AFTER THE CARRIER IS KILLED. That way you can drop your flag, battle an oponent and not lose the flag. If you kill him, pick up the flag and continue. If he kills you, he touches the flag and returns it.

I really like this idea, except for the posibility that someone could grab the flag, then go drop it somewhere and run and hide for the rest of the map. This could be an annoyance.

Suppose the allied team was given two markers, one showing the flag, the other showing who was the last on their team to touch it. That way, they know where to defend, who to rally around.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

yeah i think its really cheap where you are getting triple teamed while you are 2/3 to the base and you decide to fight back and one guy just runs up and returns it while you are fighting.

Yeah, i like that i dea. i don't like touch return that much. In H2 there have been many fun moments guarding th flag. And plus without it you have more of a chance of scorinh.

thats a great idea. but there has to be some limit on it. it should stay there longer than a couple of seconds. like it does now. so make it somthing like 15 minutes. that way u can fight and not really worry about it leaving your precious protected area. woot. haha

Nice idea. I like it i hate those cheap stuff. I mean u go throught tons of guys avdioing thm only to let go of the flag to shoot them and then bye bye flag.

I was thinking like 30-60 seconds untouched and it returns. Or if carrier gets more than a certain distance from it, it returns. Most one-on-one battles are decided within that time or less.

Good idea Simon Jester hope Bungie puts this feature into H2PC.
