Seriously, don't take me seriously.

Underground Pleasure - aren't you a bit curious?

How many post deletion does it take in order for a thread to 'break'? Does anybody know? Or at least know what I'm talking about?

Yes. As for shorties question, I have no clue.

Well, I know that I heard somewhere that it takes a relativly large amount of individual post deletions to create the "Page Number bug"

If a thread is that bad that you have to delete more than 2 or 3 posts then it is probibly better to lock it and start a new one.

A single post deletion can technically "break" a thread. The deletion of the post makes the "posts per page" not work out to the proper 25 posts.

So, if this thread were to go to 24 replies (which including the original post) would make 25 entries on page one, and a moderator were to delete any post from those 24 replies... the person who would make the 25th reply would have their post go to "page 2", but clicking on the link would take a member to the end of page 1.

Now, once the 26th reply came along, page 2 would show nicely.

So, as a thread gets larger and if more and more posts get removed (over 25), it is conceivable that the last page is only accessible via a manually entered URL. And that is exactly what happens if a large number of posts are deleted from a thread, the last page becomes "invisible".
Ah...I know exactly what thread you're thinking of, LOL...
