While playing the assault on the control room, me and my pal discoverd a big glitch to semi-control the pelican. When exiting the pelican at the beginning, press x 2 times as jumping out and you should get back in the pelican. This creates a checkpoint. Now you can stay in the pelican, for around 30 seconds until it reaches the end of the level. A cool thing though is to get of the pelican and press x (there is a flip pelican text). The pelican does a nose dive and bottle turn into the tube. There are also some other cool glitches. With co-op and proper timing, one player jumps out of the pelican normally in the beginning while the other player stays in the pelican. If the player on the ground times the jump correctly, he will fall into oblivion but will spawn on one of those rotating rings which goes around and have two gaps in them. It is quite addicting to jump the gaps, my buddy and I were gonna take a pic but we had some problems finding a cam. Pic will be up soon!
Our find points at one thing, the pelican was originally designed for player use. Why else would there be a flip pelican option scripted in the game? What do you guys think?
