You have a mid range system, what video card do you have? And, unless you upgrade to a Dx10 card, you wont experience everything H2PC has to offer.

Everything looks just fine, but you just say you have a "256mb graphics card". I think it's good enough, but you need to tell us which series it is, and its manufacturer.

Though, I would consider this Vista ready, if not enough to handle H2.

Hm. I beg to deviate from th mainstream opinion here...I suggest possibly waiting a few more months to buy a computer until Vista actually appears on store shelves. It's a small price to pay...less than half a year of waiting, after which, you can be assured that the computer will run Vista because it's already been released.

Financially, this also works to your benefit, since a computer in the future will be altogether cheaper than one purchased now. What I mean is this: If you purchase a computer now, you'll likely have to shell out 300 or so dollars (or more, if you want ultimate) for the new OS. If you get a comptuer after Vista arrives, you'll be paying for only one OS, Vista, not for both Vista and for XP.

You can also be sure that it'll have both DX10 and a compatible graphics card, and won't have to worry about whether or not your machine can run Vista.

Thanks for all the advice, but ive already bought the computer.

Ive been looking at my motherboard box and it sez PCI express x16 graphics by VIA
K8T890

The person at the shop said it will run vista but i thought he might have just been selling the product.

You're running on an integrated graphics chip, you won't even be able to play Halo 2 on low.

But what is the "256 MB graphics card"?

There are a lot of 256 MB graphics cards that SUCK.

EDIT: Yeah, if that's an integrated card, then you won't be able to run Halo 2 Vista.

I agree with ImSpartacus and me15ter. I am planning on buying a new comp just as soon as Vista comes out, so that it will already have Vista on it, and I won't have to upgrade.
