What are srategies that you use to be the best, or to get an extra edge on an opponent. My favorite weapons are trhe sniper, shotgun, and pistol. The main maps we play are Blood Gulch, Hang em High, and Dammnation.

Thanks in advance

1) Make sure the pistol is your best friend...he has many uses/advantages and doesn't like to be ignored.
2) Unless you know what you're doing, stay away from the shotgun. Mr. Shotty makes a big boom, but is completely useless at long range, kind of like a firework.
3) Frag grenades are your friends! In the hands a skilled thrower, they can be devestating!
4) Know where snipers like to hide and shoot from, and try to stay out of their line of site.

I think that the most over looked thing is reloading. Timing reloads and and simply making sure your gun is loaded for the next person you encounter is pretty important.

Your strategies are all good and I already do all of those things. I'm not new to the game I'm just looking for help on becoming better than I already am, like some more advanced tricks and tactics. My friends and I are already pretty much equal skill but I want to get better than them.

If you find yourself getting into trouble with reloading do this simple technique:

say your shooting your pistol and your getting low, sooner or later you will either have to re-load or switch weapons to continue blasting...well, why not do both!

shoot your pistol till you feel like its time to reload, except push X X Y quickly, MC will switch weapons for you to use secondary weapon, once you think the other weapon should have been reloaded by now, switch back...ooh look! pistol is reloaded! magically!

unload pistol or any other clip-type weapon,

push X X Y quickly

you will switch weapons, and during this time the other weapon is being reloaded while put away

Another tactic you "may" not know...

fraging weapons...

1hang em high walk over to the very back corner of red base.
2turn around and face red base
3point pistol cross hair RIGHT IN BETWEEN the right column and the rest of red base tower
4look up
5see the two bright stars? one is DIRECTLY above the other?
6aim at the bottom one so its just A LITTLE low from being right in the middle of your pistol crosshair
7throw frag grenade
8look to your right and sniper will bouncing off that big wall near red base and close to you

I know where the spot is in blue base, but have to check it out to give accurate aiming points

i found that if running at someone and they just see u the best wepon is a shotgun bam (if close enough kills em ) if not quicly weave behind them and beat them over the head!

also from red base, say the level begins and you know other team is going to beat you to invis...

begin walking up red base spiral, from bottom you make your first turn, once you get to the point where you must make your second turn to keep going up, stop.

instead turn and face rocket launcher. You should see it down the elevated path.

zoom pistol and look up, do you see where the hang em high wall goes from vertical to in-verted?

aim your crosshair so its about 2 crosshair lengths high above that point and throw frag

grenade should bounce behind rocket and send it flying down that elevated path right into your hands

Yeah i'm not trying to give you beginer tips and Predator's tricks are cool, but I think that any time that you reach a point where you aren't getting any better you need to go back and examine the basics. this goes for anything that you do. It always helps me.

I'm just saying that if you reach a point in playing and you find that you aren't improving anymore, look back at the basic things that you maybe aren't doing. I'm not the best but i'm pretty good, still when I get excited, sometimes i forget to reload. Its like basic training in the military. you train in the basics of combat so that when you are in the situation, they come naturally to you. you don't get scared/excited and forget what you need to do to keep yourself and commrades alive.

Practice practice practice. Get used to every gun. Snipe at incredible distances, learn to sneak, make the MA5B(the AR) the weapon that it is. Which is a great one at that. Play Legendary until you are saving more marines than you are losing. Then learn to do that with only human weapons(grenades and vehicles don't count). That is my vague advice.
