Subject: A Bungie.net Friends List?

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

You could solve some of the problems by having the friends list be visible only to you. That way less people would feel the need to compete to have a bigger friends list, since no one could see it anyways. Also, you could avoid some of the "him or me" problems.

Also, I think it could be nice to have an "online now" feature. You should be able to disable it though, so people won't know you are online if you don't want them to. Also, the ninja's should be permanently disabled, for reasons that have been mentioned.

It sounds like an interesting idea.

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I think it would be cool...but it shouldn't show who's online. It's a PM system...not IM.

Fight hard, break bones >{o

if you dont want to wait for a friendslist and you dont mind sacrificing your sig, just make your sig your friendslist! just type
FRIENDS LIST
Friend 1
Friend 2
Friend 3

and you can put links to their profiles with
Friend 1

or if you want it private make a group for all your friends or just open word and make it. or somethin....

PS. Everyone who has me on their friends list is sooooooooo cool![/schoolgirl]

Aren't Ninjas supposed to be mature...?

Oh please, read my sig, hehe...

I do like the idea of a friends list very much, but I think Achronos and his new pet web monkey are a little too busy at the moment to implement it any time soon, if at all.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I like the who is online function better. On phpBB, there is a hidden setting for mods. Bungie.net could have something similar. Although this might cause a problem in the chapters being they have their own mods.

Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

It's not that I don't mind a "Friends List", it's just that whenever this idea comes up, people realize that this would be a way for spammers to know if the moderators are not on. Of course, if this is something we'd have to accept, the moderators just wouldn't accept anybody they don't know.

Or there could be a option to block all friend requests.

Let's work on getting the search function before we ask for this.

-Solve problems you have with people via the PM system.
So stop posting this everywhere.

That'd be awesome... I always have a hard tiem finding a mod thats online, when ever someone is spamming or being a jerk and I want to PM a mod, I cant find any who are online. >_>

So kudos to this idea.

Indeed. When someone just has to get banned via posting shock-sites, I have to spam the mods with PM's until the problem is resolved. I hate spamming the mods, but it is worth it to get rid of that crap on the forums. If you could find one who is online instantly, it would eliminate that annoyance.
