You spent $500 on a x1300? Its only worth like $100. Sorry, but a x1300 really is low end. It has 4 pixel pipelines, 128bit memory bus, 500mhz memory clock and 450mhz core clock. The only good thing about it is the 512mb of VRAM, although the memory bus is so slow it can't even properly utilize it. Comparatively, my x800pro (which I pimped a bit) has a 520mhz core clock, 560mhz memory clock, 16 pipelines, 256bit memory bus and it only costed $170 almost a year ago. So yeah, your card is horrible, and you over paid for it, congratulations.

As far as solving your problem, I'll talk to some people and see if they know something about it.

P.S. You say your x1300 is agp, my x800 is pci-e.

Are you sure you even have a x1300? Post the specs cutie..

Regardless though, my comparison was based on the commonly available products on the market. Not something you may have purchased that is blessed buy leprechauns.

i have an idea, not long before i got my new hard disk i got a ram upgrade from a 512MB to 1 GB, i think the 512 was holding it back a bit, and with this new hard disk the old one might have been holding the GPU bak also, so now the graphics r alot better, and i believe the card can handle it but, ive had this cheap monitor for a long while and maby the graphics r too good for the monitor to handle without slowing down, so i think the dropp in FPS is the monitors fault, someone pls tell me im right.

First, off, yes, you got ripped off. I bought my GeForce 6600 AGP for around $129.99 and that was after a sixty dollar discount. That's daylight robbery.

Secondly, don't post more than once in a row. There's an Edit button right there.

You're wrong. The monitor has nothing to do with your PC slowing down. I don't know where you got that idea.

the thing is the card doesnt suck, if it sucked it wouldn be able to play halo perfectly fine with settings turned to high, u cant play halo with a low end card, it is not my fuking card so get over it.

i ust to have 1 of those, they r not better than wat i have, the graphics arnt as good and they cant handle too much presure, and ontop of that it only has 256MB's in it.

dottom line, wat u have is crappy compared to mine, wat u have costs about $50, so stfu.

and y do u guys this its my card causeing these problems, cause its not, its running fine, its only after the new hard disk, and ive been told by several ppl that a new hard disk can cause this type of problem. so drop the fuking graphics card idea
