to bad with that 64 MB-128MB bit bus that your cant cant/wont ultilize the 512MB of memory it has. bull-blam!- you cnat put ot much stress on it, i ran Quake 4 at 1024 x 768 with everythign turned on with an average 30 FPS, and far-cry with an average of 30-40 FPS.

yea mine has 256MB but so does a 7800GTX and it kills yours, its not how much memory it has its how fast and how its utilized that makes performance.

adn you do know that sometime a higher price doesnt equal higher performance, your card is very very low end, even lower then mine.

OMG. Dude, you had to overclock your card alot to get a framerate like that on Quake 4 and Far Cry.

He's got a point though, 512 MB won't mean much if your card doesn't utilize all of it.

Oh, come on, guys. Stop fighting each other. Jake, we're not obligated to help you, you know that, and don't take Omnios that seriously, he's always this way. And OmniosSpartan, stop being an ass.

Now, kiss and make up now. :)

Wow, this all sounds really mature.

Anyway, this happened to my crappy nVidia card once. Make sure the cooling system on the card is plugged in. The plug for the fan came off of my card and my performance dropped to half of what it was before.

I'm not saying that is it for sure, but it's a possibility.

Could you have damaged the card when you built your computer?

A-ha! I thought there was something I was forgetting! Overheating issues is always something I overlook.

the lil fan thingy is spinning as we speak, its not overheating, and we already disscussed that on the second page of this post.
