Ok, this thread ain't just about how long you have been a Halo fan, but basically how long you have worshipped Bungie. Does your history reach back to Marathon? Or did you just yesterday get Halo and magically already you are a member here( c'mon! )?!!?
So, when did you start to love Bungie branded games??????????????????????

New to B.net, veteran Bungie fan[atic].

Played Marathon first (circa '95), then played PiD, and really began to notice just how good Bungie was at telling a good story, not to mention how much they kick ass

I actually had only Halo for my Xbox for over a year, never got, and hopefully never will, tired of it till Halo 2. Then when I bought the next game, I played it through and I realised how great Halo was and now the other game is getting all dusty 'cause I play almost only Halo. But in November that will change ( thanks Bungie, love you guys! )!

Veteran-
I was a fan since the Pathways into Darkness demo came out.. then Marathon redefined FPS..
When I ordered Marathon it was sent to you on 4 1.4 floppy disks.

Wow, I barely remember the days of my first PC when we had those
humongoid floppies. Unfortunately I never had a Mac, so I'm a late
Bungie worshipper. I began playing Bungie games with the Oni
demo, and then Halo, and then in reverse order with Marathon.

Myth: TFL was my initiation into the world of Bungie. I've been a Bungie fan ever since I watched Alric raise the severed head out of the jar, only to have the head's eyes open and glare.

I would be considered a newcomer, but I'm definitely a dedicated newcomer and I'll be sticking with Bungie for awhile.

i started with Halo when it came out

Marathon started the addiction... well... it took a lil while before we stopped being sh-t scared of the game :P Aliens popping out of nowhere and smacking you up... and I was like 6 or 7! Our first non-education based game as well!

So if almost 10 years... more than half my life makes me a vet, then there you go.

I remember how me and my sister would play pathways into darkness downstairs with the lights out- I'd do the moving and she would shoot and activate the crystal if we had one... anyways here we are playing and we're getting freaked out just waitiing for the next shade to come around the corner when our mom comes down the stairs and scares the livin' crap out of us.. (I was only fourth or fifth grade at the time, my sister was even younger). It was real spooky back then, it was a very quiet game (until you're about get hurt) and having a monster materialize to the side of you tended to startle you.

I've been playing computer ever since my ancient Amstrad, but I only got an XBOX when I saw how good Halo was...and I can beat all mt friends who have had it twice as long as me. Iplay games far too much. I've got an XBOX, gamecude, PS2, PSone, Nintendo, SNES, NES, Gameboy, Gameboy advance, My PC, and my dear old amstrad on the loft somewhere. But i have to admit Halo rules every game I have, even though there are some close calls. I suppose I'm a newcomer/convert, but I'm so good you can't tell the difference...
