Or they can just put a 3 page summary inside the instruction manual....or a 10 minute video of what happened.

I was serious. Think about reading a nice summary or watching a ten minute video of what happened...that would be nice.

I'm thinking it'll be a summary in the manual or a cutscene explaining generally what happened. If you think back to Halo, the oppening cutscene left those who hadn't read the prequel novel Fall of Reach somewhat in the dark, except in the manual where it briefly explained that Reach fell to the Covenent fleet.

that would be nice to get a summarized version of FS in a cutscene before you take the controls in Halo 2 or maybe you could unlock the video after beating H2 on legendary or something.
It would be cool for people like me who haven't read it adn really don't have time to read it.

P.S. you were right Hikaru, I haven't read FS.
Remember your pistol and AR changes/replacements in H2 post about a week ago.
My post was just a thought I had.

The books are based on the game. I don't know if Fall of Reach came out before Halo or not, but either way the oppening of Halo jumps you right into the story line with only a breif summary (1 1/2 pages I believe).

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

The books were based on Halo. No doubt about it. And I hope we don't play First Strike because then I will know the whole plot, and learn nothing new. I prefer to pick up where first strike left off but of course, the game is 6 months away so nothing could be changed now.

The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

I would not worry to much in comparison to the plot of Halo the First Strike section would be not even a tenth of what happens.

Here is the Parsons' interview its 15 minutes long

I have to disagree Hedwig. The end of Halo would have been September 22, 2552. The end of "First Strike" is September 13, 2552. There is obviously some type of time anomoly, however to say the least that is a brief period of time. When he said "First Strike" would fill in the gaps, I think he mean between the end of Halo, and the start of Halo 2.

I re-listened to it and now retract all my statements. He said Halo 2 would take place around the end of Halo, but he meant Halo: First Strike not Halo: Combat Evolved. I agree now it will start near the end of First Strike.

Thank you for helping me see the Tru7th Bring the Noise.
