A way to show which moderators were online and which weren't? it would make it easier to send them threads that need locking? Post your opinions.

It would also tell spammers when no moderators were online, so they could be sure to spam when there wouldn't be anyone to respond.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

I used to think the same thing, but there was then a hypothetical problem put forth. If there are no moderators online, everyone would know, and members who wanted to start spamming the forums would have free reign. The obvious solution would be to make sure that there are always moderators on, but that would mean we'd need 30 or so moderators, and many of them would be on simultaneously, sometimes trying to lock/delete the same thread.

The bad would outweigh the good. Spammers would use the very rare time when a moderator isn't on to spam like crazy and post inappropriate links.

christ.. in the last year alone this same "idea" has been posted like 400 times....

Its not gonna happen. To many negatives that outway the positives.

There is teh google talk, PM system, IRC, and other ways of notifying a moderator of a potential problem on b.net.

such as MSN...

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

This has come up before. The general consensus is as above; bad idea. I don't like Spam PMing the mods, I have to if I want justice metted out. I like the hidden factor of the ninjas, but it would be nice to be able to notify the right one quickly if need be.

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

Your best bet is to reach them over MSN messenger or Gmail. I am always on MSN so if you want to talk report stuff - go ahead.

If no one has noticed, if you view anyone's profile it will show the last time they logged something with the server. We don't need to have such a feature, because there already is.

the problem is, even if they just logged in, they may not see your PM, because they will think it is a bug in the system(which is why we need that bug fixed). SO If I PM a mod two minutes after he logs on, but he has already checked his PMs, there isn't much chance he will get it. Recon, for instance, only checks on the 15s.(i think).

You can always send me a pm. I don't mind the "spam". better to have a filled pm box than spammers getting away with their actions.

Group RPG's!

DO NOT DO IT! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING IT! DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT NOT DOING IT!

Sadly for invites I'm one of these hard nuts. Every week I'll get about 1-3 invites everyweek.

Any moderator with their MSN listed should be able to help.

Although my time online has been variable at best this week.

I like the more stalker-ish approach to reaching moderators. I go the the members list in the HFCS and I open this in another window, then I go down the list one by one and check their profile to see which ones "Last login" time is current, then I PM them with the problem. And if no one is on, I randomly pick one.
