Here's some proof that you need not worry about target tracking.

Posted by: IGN
The missile launcher's new tracking system is oh-so fine. It's just like a regular missile launcher, only, once you've locked onto an enemy the missiles seek them out and Boom! All gone. Tracking a Warthog is especially satisfying, as the vehicle takes a blistering hit that knocks it spinning across the beach, tumbling end over end. The one shot doesn't destroy it, but a second or third might just.

Well, they're basically just talking about how awesome Halo 2 is, nothing really new... But I'd say go read them anyway, it doesn't take long, and if you're anything like me, it'll make you giddy as a school girl.

The articles are cool, if uninformative. Heehee! *Skips away giddyly like a schoolgirl* I need to go to bed.

January 30, 2004 (Warthog's Day)
The Master Chief emerged from his code. After seeing his dynamically lit realtime shadow, he went back for 9 more months of development.

Behold the power of the Originals, the Gods Axeone-Neurone.

Plus, since you can now double your speed in any vehicle by holding down the Left Trigger, the gates are much less necessary.
Does this mean that the warthog will also have boost or did he type this mistakingly.

Wow! I didnt know vehicles respawned ???

On defense, someone guards the gate button, another guards the flag down below, someone uses the mounted gun and rocket launcher to take out the vehicles that enter the courtyard, and one person sneaks past everyone and goes to the beach, where they can steal any remaining vehicle (or wait for a destroyed vehicle to respawn). They wait for the opposition to arrive on the beach with the flag so they can mow them down immediately.

Yeah, they'd have to be. Now that they can be destroyed, it'd suck if they didn't come back. You could lose all the vehicles in the first minute, and then have none the rest of the game.

And I'm pretty sure the boost thing was just a mistake. No one has said anything about a warthog boost...

In the OXM article I thought it described the wrathog having a boost. It was taking about jumping into the gun and someone else was driving and they got a little wild with the boost.
