OMG
Master Chief w/o his Helmet!

Stosh <3's me vicariously... at least someone does...

Well the first thing that may have been an indication was PID. It featured many dead -blam!-s that you had conversations with.

In the original description of Halo, it goes back as far as 2100 and describes and second uprising of fascism in many places.

Then lets zip ahead too Halo 2. Bungie makes a big deal about November 9th in all their trailers. Couldn't Bungie have picked a different day or not have shown the date as much? November 9th is the day the Kristallnacht (sp?) happened. During which, -blam!-s and German civillians burned Jewish stores. It is also known as the night of broken glass.

Zip further along too the release of Terminal. On the intercom in the Terminal, a woman can be heard saying "online fare increases will be in effect, April 19th."

Which happens to be a very dark day throughout history.

I for one say, what the -blam!- is up bungie?

Do not evade the -blam!- filter
-Ghandi

Subject: Bungie, is obsessed with -blam!-sm?

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

I think you are reading way, way, way too much into this. Terrible things have happened every day throughout history, and if when you see the date November 9th, the first thing you think of is "OMG NIGHT OF BROKEN GLASS!" I think you are the one with the problem. These dates are chosen based on their schedule and current progress.

I'm sure it would have been a great idea to de-emphasize the release date for their game...Not to mention, very few people know that the Night of Broken Glass occurred on November 9th, and I bet not many people even know it happened, since the average person is sadly uninformed on many points of history, and it wasn't exactly a really major event in the history of the -blam!- party.

Dead -blam!-s are a videogame tradition dating back to Wolfenstein 3D.

They probably did not choose November 10th because they didn't want to share that date with the premier of Sesame Street, and of course the infamous day in which Dan Rather refused to pay his cabdriver, and CBS paid the fare for him.

yeah, Ghandi just said everything I was going to say. So, um... Yeah, bungie is not obsessed with Hitler-like fascists

As Ghandi said, there is a fine line with obsession and coincidence.

Bungie is definitely a company that would probably have references to lesser-known historical or current events, but it is important to remember that not everything has a hidden meaning, since just about anything you can say nowadays has been said before...or something like that.

And it's possible that April 19th (although that website is somewhat silly because the Oklohoma bombing was deliberately on the anniversary of Waco) would be in line with Bungie's strange sense of humor and inside jokes.

Another injustice! Fare rates are increasing!

Remember, this is the company that brought you nuclear deer.

Could you possibly be any more of a troll?

Please, develop some tact. Seriously. We had one title release on November ninth. It also happened to be our biggest title yet, one of the most anticipated video games ever. You'd have to be an idiot to think there wasn't going to be a lot of media surrounding the release.

Further, what kind of weak ass company would we be if our actions were dictated by acts in history? And what kind of fool suggests that anything that happens on the anniversary of a moment in history (atrocity or otherwise), happens because of that moment?

Halo 2 was released on November ninth because that was when it was ready to be released.

Once the engineers are finished with The Slingshot.

First things first.
That slingshot is taking a while. Oh well. I want some complex eggs in Halo 3, like hidden pictures of The Giant Slingshot, and if you look at a single player map from a long distance and at an angle, it would spell "Bungie." That would be great.

I also heard that Bill Gates is providing funding for functional, explosive controllers and consoles. The XBOX and original XBOX controller were prototypes, and that is why they were so large. The next project is, you guessed it, the gas propelled boxing glove inside the next generation of computer monitors.

Did I ever say bungie was insensitive? No. Did I say anything that implied that I thought Bungie purposely did this? No. And sorry if I offended you or anyone else, but if I did, man up.

I was pointing out that it was odd, not like OMG BUNGIE IS TEH FASCISTS! However that is what you all assumed, because, well, I don't know why.

This all just proves more of GJJ's point. We have moderators in the septagon semi-flaming ideas, while the H3 forum gets another 10,000 threads saying DO JOOS WANT TO DUEL WILED SOWRDZ IN HLAO #??!?!!!1eleveln?

It's fun to always side with the moderators isn't it? Maybe if you all do it enough you'll get to be one too!

Note the oddly shaped exclamation mark next time -?-
And funny, I don't see the words "I'm not suggesting anything" in my post either.

Hmm, that's funny! You know damn well what I meant. It's a paraphrase.

Siding with the moderators... how pathetic are you? I don't give a rats ass. They're people like anyone else. If they deserve my respect, then they'll get it. If one posts something and sounds like a dick, I'll be sure to let them know.

EDIT: See above. It's a paraphrase and you know what I meant.
