Every thread he makes ends up with over 20 pages.
Well, if we're going by that, then it's me. I thionk i've only made 2 topics this year, one was the trailer analysis thread in the halo 3 forum, i think that was verging on 100+ pages, and my other one hit 4 pages. so my average for this year is 52 pages! WINNAR!
My "It's so Obvious" Thread got 140 pages, methinks :-P
:-)
I jest. Thanks Honorable Sniper (sorry I don't get on Live as often as I used to). The key to making a good topic is:
1.) Make sure it's original
2.) Make sure it's interesting
3.) Don't bump it to keep it on the front page
4.) Be open to both the good and the bad comments
To be honest, I was really just sitting at work like I said. Then the idea popped into my mind and I made a thread about it. I had already had a 200+ reply thread for my "Activating Halo" thread, so I had confidence in this one sparking discussion. I didn't really know it would spark so much though, LOL!
But with the good comes the bad. That thread both helped me become a pretty well known member, but also made me an enemy to those who disagreed with it.......even though I did nothing to them but give my opinion. I've had almost 10 unique threads aimed at how I was wrong. And one thread that was made when someone literally copied/pasted my OP and I guess expected 3500 replies. Instead, he met Recon that night, LoL!
I'd like to thank the community for making me feel so welcome here. Even though it was a bit of a rough start, I feel that this site is such a great place for discussions (if you know where to look!)
