If time travel were possible, and you went back to change somthing, the consequences could be strange, catastrophic, and confusing.

Think of this. I go back to stop Bungie from being bought out by Microsoft, but since Bungie was never bought out by Microsoft after I changed it, I would never go back in time, but if i never went bact to change it, Microsoft would still own Bungie, therfore I would go back in time to change it, and I would be stuck in an endless loop.

The loop would be more endless than the preceeding sentence.

the "loop" your refering to is known as the grandfathers clause (or some bs name like that) anyway if some one went back in time and changed something we wouldnt know it because it would instantly become part of our past or barring that the universe would implode (or mabe just some part of minnesota)

for time travel jepeper said something about a com system and that is partialy correct. the system would use lasers to warp space time (because light is way more power full and efficent to use than gravity) the lasers would be arranged in a cylindrical shapeand creat a vortex through which messages coul be theoretically sent.
as for time travel in to the future thats easy just travel at a high rate of speed long enough and time will pass slower for you or you can become trapped in a high gravity field such as the event horizen of a black hole which would be the same as moving at a high rate of speed because you would be haulin major ash just to remain in orbit around the singularity

Now a question - How would you ever know?

Well time travel might be possible all we have to do is make a shipe stroger than the pillar of autom or the iruiqois and ride on into it but that will take a really long time somtimes I wish I where born 20,000 years from now so I could see all of that happen

That guy is right. I fyou went back and changed something you wouldnt have to go back and change it but then it would be the same but then you would. It would create an endless loop that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time-continum. The space time continum is like a computer system. By changing the past it changes a pice of code in the program that is time and the system would crash and destroy everything we know and cherish (aw how sweet). Either that the chnage in "code" would create a wave of code changes that would fit in with the first "code " change and the space time continum would unravel anyways becasue of the endless loop theroy. All of this would change if you went in the future. But the "code"would have to change according to the future changes you made and the present would be disrupted and fragmented. Any change you would make would effect past event s that made that future event possible. That simolaneous "code" change while the space time contium is still continuing would casue it to "crash". Or you can take the Back to the Future point of veiw that anychanges you made in the past would create a timeline branched from the original that would be reality to everyone except the peopel intending to change it. Back to my POV, if you somehow changed the past that would make it unneeded for your time travel there would be 2 of you when you went back and that would cause some problems.

So in conclusion, my thoery on the Space time continum is that it is a fragile thing and if changed ever so slightly the STC would unravel and destroy the universe.

Destiny exists. Everything is pre-destined. If you go back to change your destiny that would be pre-destined and the STC would fall apart.

Matter can't be destroyed, only transformed. So where does every thing go that gets sucked into a black hole?

Black Holes are essentially rips in spacetime. The event horizon is the actual hole its self, and the holes are very small. they just look big because in artists impressions becasue th matter they "suck up" spins around the hole before it sucked in. Though this all depends on the type of black hole:

Schwarzschild - Non-rotating black hole
Kerr - Rotating black hole
The Schwarzschild black hole is the simplest black hole, in which the core does not rotate. This type of black hole only has a singularity and an event horizon.
The Kerr black hole, which is probably the most common form in nature, rotates because the star from which it was formed was rotating. When the rotating star collapses, the core continues to rotate, and this carried over to the black hole (conservation of angular momentum). The Kerr black hole has the following parts:

Singularity - The collapsed core
Event horizon - The opening of the hole
Ergosphere - An egg-shaped region of distorted space around the event horizon (The distortion is caused by the spinning of the black hole, which "drags" the space around it.)
Static limit - The boundary between the ergosphere and normal space

If an object passes into the ergosphere it can still be ejected from the black hole by gaining energy from the hole's rotation.
However, if an object crosses the event horizon, it will be sucked into the black hole and never escape. What happens inside the black hole is unknown; even our current theories of physics do not apply in the vicinity of a singularity.

Erm, you ever heard of Quantum Mechanics? Destiny doesn't exist, only probabilities of things occurring. Destiny went out with the death of Classical physics.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Is time travel possible? Sure. All we need is a DeLorean with a flux capacitor, an eccentric scientist and a punk dressed in 80's clothes. Should it be used? No. Some wacko could go back and change the outcome of WWII, for example. But then you run into paradoxes if someone changed the past, it's already happened. I could go on, but now my head hurts from thinking of all the paradoxes.

No. Time travel is not possible. Many of us have forgotten than time is an illusion that we humans have created; there is only the present. Time is not some existing force or object, it's a concept that we use in our daily lives.

i am travelling through time right now and so are all of you! every second, you travel one second into the future and the future becomes present and then turn into the past before you even notice it!

and of course it's possible to slow that proces, maybe even speed it up or stop it but i don't think it's possible to invert it...

WRONG. There is only the present- the "future" and the "past" are only concepts we have created to make things simpler.

I think it all boils down to paradoxes. If someone traveled to the past and changed time, then wouldn't it have already happened? The changed past is our past now and always has been. Meaning, if someone changed the past, would we notice? Would it make a difference?

Here's a question for you; if someone has or will go back in time, would we notice, and more importantly would it matter?
Maybe all that would change would be for them (the time travellers) and they up in a different continuum...

Time is an essesntial part of exisitence. Tiem is not an object, but it is the name of the force tht makes the univerese tick. Maybe in someiome i will learn how to type :(. Maybe not.
