ok since no one has seen my strats against elites/pros on my other thread ill post here...

HANG EM HIGH

Everyone knows to watch out when someone grabs the invisibility, because the next thing is to grab rocket. If your turn invis, and go for rocket you always have to watch out for grenades. What I like to do is as soon as I grab invis, jump on to the first pillar, and run up the lil cat walk, once you get to rocket throw down your PISTOL not your assualt rifle, but throw it down to your right so it looks like you still jumped from the bottom pillar to get rocket. That way they think your on the floor when your still on the catwalk.

Once you target an enemy and fire, the moment the rocket leaves the launcher switch to assualt rifle so you go invisible instantly. If you have yoru pistol with you you wont go invisible instantly because thats how long range weapons work with invis. make your way up to the top area where shotguns are, and if you need pistol, its there waiting for you.

DERELICT

If you fins yourself trapped at the bottom with your enemies closely watching the teleports, and its still a lil while before sheild appears (you know this because you BETTER be using a timer) run over to sniper rifle while still on the bottom, jump off the lil rampo there and duck as you hold x button, you should be able to pick up snipes from bottom. quickly get cover and watch closely for anyoen grabbing invisibility from under the platform where health pack is. (its very hard to find people down there with out having to go out in the open and look) once there is about 3-4 seconds left before shield appears, grenade jump up to the second floor from the side that you can only be seen if your enemy is where needler is upstairs(no one likes hanging out over there) If you are on the right side you will notice, once you nade jump up, shield is there, and that little half wall is blocking nay view of you getting it besides a few short feet. If no one saw you nade jump up there, no one will have a good enough reaction time to shoot you the few feet you need to be out in the open when grabbing sheild.

BATTLECREEK

If you know invisibility is going to appear soon, stay in a spot where you cannot be seen. The moment invis appears shoot it once with a pistol shot. Its will drop into the water and be almost invisible, also, if your playing an elite or pro they will most likely think you picked it up since usually everyone fires a round of pistol when they get invis so that they can quickly swtich to ass. rifle and go invis instantly. when its safe to grab it, do so.

If your on the other end of the situation and someone grabbed invis, they are most likely going for rocket, so wait about 5-6 seconds, then throw nades up at rocket. If you timed it correctly you'll pop an invis guy as he is grabbing it, if your early, then watch where rocket it flying and GET THERE FIRST.

Another strategy against invis is, if you already have rocket, go over to shield and right when it appears, invis is also, grab shield run through teleport and go left, hesitate for a second or two and fire a rocket at the tree near invis. usually you'l end up taking out the new invis guy because usually someone picking up invis will hang out for a few seconds before they exit the invis cave. The splash damage will take them out. If you missed, look left and jump on top of the building and have your buddy be the invis scout.

LONGEST

dont bother going up the ladder or up the ramp if camo/shield is appearing, rather throw nades up there as it appears and they will come to you. if you are up at the power-up ledge, as soon as you get one, throw a nade through the little cutout and jump down and run to the other side, the scond power=up should be falling down from the nade blast giving you both.

add some if you want.

I mostly agree with rat nukem's and guru's tactics, the only thing that really bothers me is that the needler is a good weapon, although I think it is the most difficult to learn to use. I used to hate the needler, but now I usually find myself getting most of my double and triple kills with it. If you land enough needles on one target, it's blast radius, although small, is really powerful. The thing you have to learn about the needler is that you have to land almost an entire clip, so a secondary weapon is good to have.

Sorry, a little late on this one, huh?

heres a tip with the needler that ive learnt, release half a clip, throw grenade, hide, jump out and throw grenade, release the last half, hide and reload, switch weapon and mo them down.

using half a clip is alot harder to dodge, ( strange isnt it ) and is able to take down their shield and abit half their health backed up by a grenade can kill them and wound anyone else standing to close, thats when you jump back out from your hidy hole and release your last clip and throw a grenade, that will force them out into the open wound them even more while needles get them and take them out while wounding the last of em, switch to an AR or what ever and just mo down the unlucky ones.

this is best used in a corridor or one of the bases in sidewinder ( infact thats a deathtrap )

i hope i can be of help to your needler problem.

Well, ok. I guess this whole time I've been saying needler sucks, I've been assuming people want to be awesome. Will you just trust me? Watch some AGP or MLG videos and see how many times the best players in the nation pick up the needler. Sorry. They fire almost every other gun at least ones in one situation or another, but not needler. There, I said it. You can kill mid level guys in a FFA with needler. There, I said that too. I will leave it.

Hey Predator. Great stuff man. I kinda like everything. I have my own versions of the HH stuff (still wondering what you were talking about when you said shotguns up high... shotgun tunnels?), but the one I was most interested in was the Derelict nade jump. I knew about the rifle, but I have a question on the nade jump. Do you play a lot of 2v2? Does the derelict strategy work in 4v4? I mean, I would assume you would be spotted, but I haven't tried it. Just wondered how you faired in that situation.

Oh yeah, forgot to say. In Longest, if you are already up there you can get the opposite powerup to get bumped along the wall. If you are touching the wall when it bounces off it (on the other side) you will pick it up. Both powerups. Shotgun. High ground. Tis a beautiful thing.
