Xbox Live Gamertag: Opey Master

And yeah, Opey could probably win that game without using his BR. Best SMG user in Halo.

Everyone knows how close we are to the big day (Halo2uesday, :)), and everyone wants a piece of online multiplayer action. But there are some people who don't know where to start. I was once one of those people, until I saw the light.

Xbox Live can be an exhilarating and rewarding experience. But it can also be a stank-hole of flaming and swaring. But before you can even get to that, you first need the Live.

The minimum requirements for Xbox Live are:

Xbox (duh)
Game with Xbox Live Logo (preferably Halo 2)
High-Speed Internet Service (Cable or DSL)
Connection to Xbox Live (RJ-45 cables. Depending on how far away your Xbox is from your computer, then the size of cables varies. The best place to buy some RJ-45 cables is RadioShack or Circuit City. Just ask for some Xbox compatible RJ-45 cable.)

Now, you need to get a subscription. Now, starter kits used to be $50. Now there about $70. But, if you can find an old one, you might get it for $50. Look in Toys "R" Us. They have old ones. A Starter Kit comes with:
Yearly Subscription to Xbox Live
Headset
Demo of Xbox Live compatible games.

Setup is easy. If you have the requirements, all you need to do is plug the RJ-45 cable into your Internet Modem, and plug the other end into the back port of the Xbox. Here are some examples of Connections .

Playing online is really fun, but there are some people out there who just want to ruin everyone else's fun. Don't turn into one of those people. Be fun, be positive. Swaring, I don't personally like. If you would like more information refer to VII Toast's Speech Guide: How to Talk in Halo 2 Multiplayer Sticky.

This thread is to help those who are in need of help with Xbox Live. Thank you.

Xbox Live Gamertag: Opey Master. If you want to meet up in Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow or Star Wars: Battlefront.

Oh, minor note. If after a while you can't sign into Xbox Live because you're getting an error message saying that it can't find your PPOE or IP address, that means it can't identify your internet, or something. To fix it, unplug the power to your modem and plug in the Xbox Live cable, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in. This refreshes the modem. You must do this every time you swap Xbox Live to the Internet.
