Take a screenshot, whack it on Fileshack, the post a link. THEN we might be able to help you.

Also, the various tech weenies that prowl the Maw will want you to post your system specs, just to confuse you. }:-(

System specs.
lol.

If it is for additional programs you don't need it, you would only need to install Halo.

Don't drink to excess– You might shoot at tax-collectors... and miss

Computer: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (2.2) Number Of CPUs: 2 CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1.25 GB Bus Speed: 900 MHz

ATi Radeon X800 XT Mac Edition
Display Type: LCD Resolution: 1680 x 1050 Depth: 32-bit Color

Just to be sure, did you download the Mac version of the trial? If you double click on the icon of a file that the Mac does not know what to do with, it will ask you what program you want to use to open it.

Also, if it was the Mac version, did you decompress it? It may want to know what program to use to decompress it.

Yes. BUY HALO. And when you can beat Legendary, download Halo CE. It's free, lets you play custom maps, and works better online.

Is what you're trying to open named Halo_Trial.exe.part? If you try to open anything with a .part extention, it will ask you what you want to open it with. It's got a .part tag because you havn't downloaded it fully. When the download finishes, it will change to an .exe, and self-extract

Oh, you may also need to download WinZip or WinRar if it's got a .zip or .rar extention. If you didn't know that, it would explain why you're buying the trial version.

The Mac Book Pro runs on intel, but Halo was made for Macs on PowerPC chips, so unless you use Rosetta it wont work. Also, Rosetta probably wont be able to run it fast enough. That is, unless you mad pimped out your Mac Book with RAM.

..pimped as in PIMPS AT SEA!

M Kim, I have removed the link from my sig. And STFU. Can't a guy have an idea once in a while? Just so we all know, I HATE Macs. BAD BAD BAD.

Anyway, I can be of no further use to this topic. Goodbye.

yea, i clicked on the link from here..

If by 'here' you mean bungie.net, that's your problem right there. The link to the demo on the Halo Mac/PC page is Windows only. You can find the Mac version of the demo here.

Great to see another Mac user here on The Maw!
