Ok. So heres the deal. Im curious on how good other poeple are on Halo. Dont be shy, Tell us your war stories of LEGENDARY, and how youve beaten The entire Game without dying once. Has it been done? is it possible? Tell me what ya got.

I, Personaly have beaten most of the levels on Legendary without dying. Not in a row though. It sux when you get to the 4th or 5th level and dye stupidly cause of one of your own missthrown grenades blow the crap outa ya, in front of 2 grunts, and then hear the distant elite laugh at you. I know this might be weak, so let me know HOW weak. C'mon, dont be shy.

I've beaten every level on Legendary, but it was a challenge. Wanna know something that's fun to do? Go through AOTCR using only melee attacks on normal. It's really fun.

I rule Halo, but sometimes Halo rules me... that's the deal here. Anyway, I have come to love the levels 3,5 and 8( Truth and Reconciliation, Assault on the Control Room, Two Betrayals). I have beaten AotCR barely without having to even touch a health pack. I love the TaR 'cause I love sniping and this level is just great with that weapon. The 8th level I like 'cause there I get to shoot both the Flood and the Covenant with the shotgun and my second favorite weapon, the pistol.
I have managed to kill 8 Covenant wiht 1 frag, 2 elites and a grunt with 1 sniper bullet, 7 grunts in a row with using only 7 pistol bullets. In MP I got my team a victory( they were all new comers mostly in my team) by getting over half of my teams points( enemies were all pros). I helped in CTF by killing 6 people from the enemy base with the sniper, including one who was al the time chasing my team's carrier.
My favorite MP levels are Blood Gulch, Sidewinder, Boarding Action and Hang 'em High. I rule whenever the settings feature the mighty sniper or the powerful pistol. If I lose my concentration, close combat is my weakness. But if I am in a fine mood and have the duke in my hand, then any opposition will be blown off( well, not always...). I am probably the only person in any LAN I have been in who knows how to effectively use the Scorpion in MP maps.

It's going to awesome when Halo 2 comes out guys...probably the most competitive online macthes we've ever seen. Not only has everyone and their mother played Halo until their fingers bleed, but you will also be matched up against only those people of your same rank when you play ranked games...accroding to Bungie's new system...sweetness. So to say anyone will own everyone else, is kind of retarded...b/c that won't be possible once you settle into a particular rank...if you did "own", you would move up and play those other guys who "owned"...until finally, you can longer "own" and are always in an evenly matched battle....

why does everyone seem to forget this? bungie is breaking new ground...you can't play with newbs if your good, the game simply won't let you...there is no way around it when you play ranked games.

It should happen a lot faster than 2 months...Journalists from IGN.com said they were able to move to the 2nd rank in 2 hours of play on the beta.

Well, on the PC internet, lets say im always one of the top people in the rankings, i love teh sniper and kill most with it, Long range OR close quaters, most kills are head shots, my kill/dieing ration is good, lots of kills to little deaths. So i think im quite good, ive compleated Legendary on halo (x box) and cant be bothed to do it on PC (com'on, its better on X box)

Well thats my bit.

Well i've beaten all levels on everything so I guess i'm pretty good. Alot of people can't wait to play Halo 2 for Xbox-Live but thats not true for me the real magic is in the Single Player, multi-player is just an added bonus! But by far my favorite level is Two Betrayels because its the only level with EVERYTHING (flood, sentinels, covies, tanks, banshees, etc...)!

Wort! Wort!
Nov. 9th Covies are going down!

I'm the best splitscreen player in my neighborhood. I can't wait for HAlo 2 so I can test my skills online. Just give me a sniper rifle and a shotgun.

p.s. What's with the new health bar and stuff? I don't exactly get it.

I'm good. Not amazing. Just good.

My best friend is the most talented non-cheap player I've ever seen. He's pretty brutal when it comes to this game, and has an amazing ability to calmly decimate a whole team during CTF. Since he's the guy i play against the most, I've gotten very good. I can't catch up though. Currently when we play straight up slayer, we're looking at me getting about 2/3rds the kills he does.

I once saw him have a 1/2 hour sniper standoff for the final kill. 1/2 an hour, hiding behind a rock, waiting for the shot, and he didn't get impatient once. He's damn good. Amazing driver too.

Basically, if you put us on a team we're pretty damn destructive, since we can play off each others tactics instinctively now.

As for legendary, I've done all but Library. No. Way. No. Not going in there.

Once, when we were co-oping, my friend suddenly says "I'm a pacifist now", and spent the rest of Library hopping around avoiding the flood. He didn't die once throughout that whole thing. 45 minutes of him bouncing around, on heroic, saying "this is fun", while I run around screaming and shooting.

Ugh.

Worst room: Legendary, Truth&Recon, the grav lift room. I swear there were 12 gold sword elites, one after another. The trick is to 'nade the first one, then use a combo of Overcharged Covie Pistol and AR for the rest. You gotta be quick though.

The best thing i done on coop was on AotCR (legendary)- i saved every single marine (counted 11 in total) and got em to where they get picked up. Its like having your own personal army. 4 Snipers really kick arse.
The best mp was at a lan party (sidewinder, slayer, 4v4). Me and my friends vsed a guy who thought he was good and his teammates. Anyway he was in the sniper tower and his teammates were noobs, going around in circles. Our team had the base covered in snipers and whenever the guy who thought he was good even tried to get out, 4 snipers would kill him before he even had a chance to zoom in. He got soooo pissed and started telling his team off, meanwhile were all laughing at him.

Legendary on Halo 1 is too easy, just the other day i was playing while board, and a grunt who saw me goes "tossin one" and he was looking and aiming at me and then threw it directly to his left side (my right) after which he began to run away as if i shot him or killed somthing near by, it was hilarious, sometimes the AI even on legendary is stupid, i'll be honnest when i played single player alot i could do legendary in a couple hours and not die e.t.c now, since its all multiplayer for me and i jus do single player out of sheer boardom i die a few times, but other then that its pretty easy, 8 of the 10 lvls i can do w/o dieing so, it really depends on how mmuch u play, if u got a good memory of the lvl chances are you wont die, legendary is the most fun however, if u dont believe me just play legendary for a few weeks then try to play herioc, you'll be like wth its tooooo easy, as for a badly thrown grenade everyone does it every now and again welp thats me pe@ce
