Someone with the skill to use every aspect of the game will win every time over someone who thinks themselves somehow above using vehicles, heavies, etc.
This taboo exists for no reason. They may take no skill, but everyone has the opportunity to use them. That makes it a level playing field, so it's time to stop complaining and start playing and ENJOYING the game again. There is no logic in this taboo. It's all in your head.
Every time someone calls me a noob, it makes me play a little harder, encourages me to hop in a shee, and go own the pistol purist morons with a vehicle they easily could use better than I if they weren't too stupid to take advantage of it.
What if our military decided that using their jets, their rockets, or advanced technology was unfair? What if they stopped using it and stuck to guns alone because of some moronic honor code that exists only in their minds? We'd get owned, and this time in real life. It makes no sense not to use all of the resources available to you.
I agree with the original poster: Stop whining.
So very true. I definitely agree with your last paragraph. It's the same with spawnkilling/camping. The military uses these tactics. If they think sniping in an unseen area is unfair, should they just come out in the open and let their enemies have a head start pounding us with bullets? Should they just stop using vehicles and heavy weapons and fight on land only, armed with only a few clips of lead?
I hope all you whiners of HaloPC learned something from this.
I've seriously owned people using rockets and fuel rods with ARs.
And IPjuunin: I agree with you, I should of said that LRVs don't always win, but I did say usually , so im actually right in a way :D
Yes you're right. .50 cal machine guns do have an advantage over shees, and as you said, not all the times, but most of the times (depending how good the shee pilot is, how bad a machine gunner you are, or how much luck is put into each player in this game of fate).
And true, it's pretty easy to beat a random guy threatening you with a rocket launcher with an AR, I've done it many a times as well. =D
