Subject: Wierd built in scan?

Ok, so i was zooming in and out of my moniter, to make it perfect, then it all turned all black , i had McFee scan running but it happend when it turned black, so i restarted manualy, then i start again, then a Windows XP screen comes up and says : There is something wrong, let us scan C:, you dont have too, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to. So then i continue like it says to, then it scans my computer, it deleted 2 files, they looked like worms or trojans, or malware, did Microsoft built in this scan thingy to protect your computer? And what caused it to happen?

Maw

I think that would count as a system failure, right? Microsoft has its own internet protection. Maybe you had a virus and McAfee or Microsoft deleted it.

What program scanned you?

This looks to me like a Rouge Spyware (spyware that looks like a cleaner, but is only there to ruin you).

McFee, and why use fancy words for Microsoft, their products are better than a ball, and Bungie arrives much quicker. And i use Mozzila Firefox for my internet broswer
