Right click on your Halo shortcut and click on "Properties", then click on "find target". That will open your Halo folder. There will be a folder titled "Maps". Make a new folder where you wont forget it and copy everything in your Maps folder to the new one; that way you have a backup if you want to get rid of a mod. Now just copy the mod and past it in your Maps folder and click yes if the overwrite window shows up. That should do it.

Let me guess, Halo opened, and when you started Bloodgulch: "EXCPETION!" right? Or were you trying to open Bloogulch.MAP. You can't do that, and there isn't a Bloodgulch on this page.

make sure that when you copy the file into the maps folder that it's titled the exact same as the original map, this is a very important, and easy to miss step.

Mods for HPC have so much potential to do so many great things, like balance the weapons, make the assault rifle more powerful and more accurate, make the fuel rod gun less powerful, make the plasma rifle better by increasing it's rate of fire and make it so it won't overheat as fast.

But nooooooooooooo, they have to make assault rifles with bottomless clips that shoot tank rounds, pistols that fire sniper rifles, teleporters that spawn you thousands of feet into the air, ooh, and my favorite, flying warthogs that fire spartans.

Well, there is a certain amount of limited entertainment to going into a server by yourself, making a pyramid of spartans a thousand feet high, and blowing it apart with your bottomless tank-shooting AR. Doing this on public servers.... is incredibly lame. Most of the BBT_MOD_MAX_DANGER and _INFINITE_DEATH sorts of things are things that a person could create in an hour using Sparkedit. Anyone with the skills, finesse, cleverness, and general map-know-how is either making maps for CE, or was hired by Bungie long ago. Most of the public server modders are just egotistic, attention-starved little boys who think they can beat Bungie at it's own game.

I'd like to see H2PC with a filter on the Internet lobby to toggle showing servers running modded maps. It wouldn't be that hard, every time you start a server it can simply scan your map, and determine whether it's the same as the original. It does it on CE, I don't see why it cant be done on PC.

Good guys win;
Bad guys loose:
And as always....
England Prevails.

Edit: That's cool enough to go in my sig.
