OK, i just put all of the parts to my computer together like i was supposed to, got to the bios screen and set the first 3 boot devices to the cd drive. i place the windows cd in the drive and reboot. it gets to the screen where it normally says boot disk failure, insert setup cd and press enter, and instead of saying that, it skips down a line or two and there is just a flashing underscore. how could i install windows. i have 2 cd drives, and 1 HDD connected through the power and the ide cables. could someone gimme a hand? i will post the specs if someone needs it, but i dont thing thats the issue.

Well gee, thanks for helping him out. I don't think you'd need to set all 3 boot devices to cd.

Try the cd on a different computer to make sure it at least works.

I could use the specs of your system.

Make sure both CD drives have their jumpers on "Cable Select" to make it easy. They are probably both set to master or both set to slave, causing errors.

Then try checking the jumpers on the CD drives
