Well, if you're reading this and you replied to my recent thread applying to the GeForce 6200, be assured that this question IS different.

My question: well, let me begin with a summary. You guys proposed that I purchase the 6200 OC, as it was one of the best PCI cards. I decided to take that to heart, and today we went to Best Buy to pick it up. However, upon further examination, I noticed the ATI Radeon 9250.

So we went back home to consider, and here I am. My question, fellow gamers -- which one? They are the same price, and reviews seem to deem them with equally powerful performance.

Help is appreciated. Remember, the choices are the GeForce 6200 OC or the ATI Radeon 9250.

Well if you say the 6200 was the best PCI card why does it matter? Just pick that one up, if they are equal does it matter?

The X1300 is the best PCI card.

Yeah, and thanks, dude. However, my parents seem to have a problem with ordering over the internets. They don't trust it, or something along those lines. :P So I'm limited to buying the card locally. And the best PCI card around is the 6200 OC.

Yes then the 6200 OC would be the best PCI card other than the X1300. The Radeon 9250 only supports shaders 1.4, 6200 supports 3.0.

explain to your parents binary, and how there are infinite ways of numbering and encrypting your information.

trust me, my teacher showed me an equation, so your information will be safe. If only your parents can understand....

Generally, you're just as safe buying online with a credit card as you are offline.

stop reccomending that old crappy card. no one wants to play at the low res anyways. and even then he is looking for PCI.

w/ever, I don't mind low res.
And I'm no techno geek, so I don't know the difference between AGP and PCI.
Or what either actually are.

Its funny to think people are afraid to purchase on-line using a credit card which usually has encryption, but they think nothing of going to a restaurant, giving their credit card to a total stranger who takes it, often times, out of sight for up to five minutes. My second job is a server and I have handled hundreds of credit cards, I'm glad I'm an honest person. Hmm.. say I do need 2 GB of memory.....

I'M not the one afraid to order online, my parents are. Ever since I ordered something online when I was 10 and didn't like the product, my parents have concluded that the Intarweb is evil. I've tried talking them out of it 10,000 times since then. :P

And yeah, I'm stuck with PCI bus and will be until summer next year, when I can finally order a PCI-E gaming computer. Made for gaming, unlike my HP Pavilion here. So the 6200 shall be my comrade for a long time. Thanks for all your suggestions and ideas. :)
