Hey, at least "your accent" wasn't used to portray the bad guys.

I'm relatively new to things, I was introduced to Bungie through Halo, and more specifically, HBO. Thank god for the related sites list. I showed up for the theories for a few weeks, and then found out about this "community" thing. I haven't left since.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

What he meant to say is that he's really just addicted to this site and hasn't been able to quit cold-turkey.

I used to play marathon and Oni a bit. But I payed no more attention to Bungie when they were bought by Microsoft and Halo became an xbox only game. That was, till a friend of mine got himself an xbox and halo. Suddenly I liked Microsoft and Bungie again.

hast thou ever lost faith in thy bungie? For they hath always been good to thy. =P

Yeah, I am a Halo Newcomer. I played Marathon along time ago on my old Mac at school but had no idea about anything.

I joined in 04 because I wanted to post about how pissed I was at the Australian marine stereotypes in Halo CE.

=P

Ever notice how the Aussies always die first? lol j/k, at least you guys got in the game, was there ever an irish marine? Not one!11!1!!!11oneone!!eleven!!1

I didn't look at Bungie's site till after Halo 1 sometime in '04. I played other Bungie games in the 90s but never though their site was that good. Once it was redesigned for Halo I signed up.

I first heard it when ONI came out. Sadly I wasn't interested at the time.

Hey, watch out there.

because if seeing is believing,
then believe that we have lost our eyes

I used to play Marathon a lot. I have been on bungie a lot since around early 2001, but was too busy playing marathon and other games to ever discover the forums. I especially started getting on bungie and checking news around a few months before halo2 came out so I decided to start using the forums to talk about theries about halo1 and predictions on how halo 2 would pick up the story form halo1.

I then got a new computer along with a new E-mail and all that junk around April of last year and been using the forums more than ever.

Best. Mod. Ever.

I was first interested in Bungie when I had a PS2 (shivers) and played Oni.
Halo brought me to the column.

I played Marathon, Abuse and Myth separately all the way up to 2002 or something when I finally realised they were all the same company. Then about 2 years later when Halo 2 came out I actually took interest in the community.

-TGP-

Yep, two days before I did...

Anyway...I actually knew about Bungie before Halo but I was only like 7 when I first played Myth 2, so I finally decided to join after looking around the place for 5 months in late 04...

While I had known about Bungie and Bungie's website for quite some time prior, I only decided to join sometime inbetween the releases of Halo and Halo 2. Early February of '04, to be exact. I only wish I had joined sooner!

ditto ;-)

I was introduced to Bungie.net when halo came out. I played it at friends house, i had no idea how to play, but then i got my own xbox, and I saw that it a really popular game, so i decided to try it out. I came to the site before my join date, but i didnt start posting till these forums came out. I still vaguely remember the what the old site looked like....

I remember playing Gnop! when I was about six years old on my uncle's mac. He was really into the Macintosh community at the time and MacAddict included Gnop! in one of their demo CD's. But I didn't really think about Bungie itself until last year, when I began to consider my professional future. Now I'm just waiting to get through college and land a production job here. That's the plan anyway...

I was here in 2002, but never created an account. But then I finally did on Halo 2's anniversary, which isn't old school... but I do remember Truth and Reconciliation.

Dreaming In Pixels

I knew bungie since Abuse, even though they were my fave company thrgoughout marathon I never really took interest in the community until HBO finally launched. I have been around this community since late 2001 and since had a couple of accounts with the change of my gamertag.

I remember those long nights of marathon frag fests. Or the frantic search for the megg...good times.
