First of all don’t call me a noob just because I like banshees, I cant find it but there’s like a six page tutorial on how to be a better banshee driver and ude be surprised there’s some amazing tactics behind it.
This is something I found a year ago, a video of someone driving a banshee upside down, for ages I tried to learn how to do it, yet could only manage a sort of corkscrew spin, where the banshee spins however faces forward, unlike in this video where u can see behind the banshee as its upside down:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXpWBuVzYNM&mode=related&a mp;a mp;searc h=

infact I only just saw this video today and it rekindled my interest in the technique ( after joining a sniping clan and forgetting all about my love of banshees)

despite trying many times and researching on the internet I cant seem to pull it off but apparently quite a few people know about the technique (according to videos), so Im hoping someone here can teach me :P

Edit: here’s another video from u tube of a third person perspective of a upside down banshee

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C25ryLlyBfk

Edit 2:
For those interested ive found the tutorials of banshee driving:

I've been told how to do it, you're supposed to "look up, then look down in the opposite direction".

I've never managed to do it, after trying several hundred times.

yea imspartacus if u kinda try and imitate what he does inthe video, u can sort of do a corkscrew wihch is cool, and reaver thanks but its a difficult thing to do, apparently setting mose sensitivity to 10 helps but a lot opf peaple did it on normal settings and ide rather learn how to do it normally as then i can pull it off mid match and completely shock my friends

That's pretty cool, but besides its "coolness" I don't see any tactical point in flying your banshee upside down. But it's a good find, I'll give you that, good job.

Also when you mentioned the "6 page tutorial" of good ways to fly in a banshee, I think I know what you're talking about. It's the Rampancy.net tutorial, am I right? I read it too, and it's a really good read, even the experts of banshees out there will have a jolly good time reading the tutorial and drinking coffee at the same time. It taught me very good ways to avoid enemy banshee/tank fire while in a banshee, how to dogfight effectively without doing that retarded circular motion of two banshees fighting, and the exact physics of the banshee, part by part. The only flaw of the tutorial (assuming that's the tutorial you mentioned), is that it encourages the new guys to ram their banshees in a retarded kamikaze fashion to the footmen resistance.

lpjuunin yeh thats the tutorial i was talking about, if anyone wants to read it ive linked it at the bottom of my first post, it is a reaaaly good tutorial and even if u dont like banshees i vagualy recall tactics against them aswell, either way great tutorial.

and youd be suprised, if u want i can try and youtube or google video the corkscrew manuovre i can pull off and its brilliant at dodging enemy fire and allowing u to position urself, i would probably use this technique to see behind me a i fly and generally dazzle enemys :P but yeh i do actualy doubt itl help me get more kills and actualy survive longer, just somthing a banshee pilot would want to master.

Ah, after reading your brave speech, I can tell you have a great future in the United States Air Force. You seem really dedicated about this. =D

And yeah, I would like to see some good videos of you or other good pilots pulling off corkscrew maneuvers, upside down flight, and etc. I'm really interested in the banshee out of all the other vehicles myself as well.

P.S. And to Nessy, you wouldn't be able to dogfight in years. So stop assuming you can beat me when you can't even drive a vehicle efficiently. Still think banshees are for noobs? Read the Rampancy.net tutorial on banshees, you'd be surprise how much skills it really takes to effectively drive one without dying.

Sweet, nice moves there dude. You'll be an excellent pilot one day with those skills, keep up with the maneuver practices. ;D

To Nessy:

tbqfh, you do realize that if we do have to fight, we're playing with banshees right? I admit, you're better than me with a pistol and sniper, but I know you're not good and/or experienced with the banshee to call yourself a "true" expert. I mean, why else would you call it a noob vehicle if you say you are good with it?

you are in no position to call me expert or what. In every game -blam!- mishaps are left out when it comes to competitions, in halo these are banshees.

how about we play a game with banshees and a game with normal weps no hevs?

im sure that will be fun, since im so noob with banshee im sure u can 25-0 me right?

also we can do some ghost fights if you want as well, id love to beat you at that also...

you are saying that bcos i never use it i will suck at it, im saying it takes no skill so the game will be close.

Hey, if you two have the urge to continually flame/challenge each other, do it via PMs and don't spread it across half the Maw. This thread is about flying upside down in banshees, not your personal feud-ground.

See, that's the problem with this whole dispute, you think banshees takes no skill.
FYI, banshees do take skills to effectively use in combat. Sure, you can just dive in while raining plasma death and pouring down fuel rod cannons, and then finally raamming the opponent down to pancake size. Sure, that may seem easy, but if your opponent has some sense in him, he'll throw everything he got at you. Plasma nades, .50 cal machine guns, shotgun buckshots, far ranged pistol shots, rocket launcher, hell, he'll even try the AR and FRG if he's confident in winning against a shee. It takes skills to DODGE the incoming fire, and kill the ground resistance with little to no damage.

yea lpjuunin thats one of the things peaple dnt notice banshees drivers that always attack leave themselves open for too much fire, they need to alternate between circling the opponent dodging fire and opening fire themselves for example wen attacking a tank, first dodge tanks missile open fire for about 4 secons till tank can missile again and repeat.

also 2 banshees in midair combat are very vulnerable to ground fire, thers a hell of a lot more to banshee combat than most peaple think, and no im not in the air force :P

anywayi tried doing the teqnique at like sensitivity 10 and nah all that did was make it impossible to control

Truetacular.

Try fighting a fully equipped tank with a banshee. Trust me, it's not as easy as you think. Unless the tank driver really sucks, even the expert shee drivers can be pwned by decent tank drivers. Survival is not guaranteed, for a tank shell is deadly to a shee driver as much as a sniper round is deadly to a lone ranger. Sure, you can just go straight at him, and fire everything you've got at him, but you'll be seeing your corpse, a half gallon of your own blood around you, and a smoking upside down shee a few yards away from you before you can fire that last fuel rod cannon.

i still rekon banshee driver has advantage ova a tank driver, banshees can be a lot more masnouvrable and while a tank has a higher powered weapon its less likely to hit while a banshee pilot should hit every fuel rod cannon purely because tanks are sooo slow

Yes, the banshee does have technical advantages over the tank in many ways, but the survival rate is still not going to be as high. Although tanks are slower, once the banshee is done with it's first onslaught of raining plasma death, all the tank has to do is aim and fire (hopefully they don't miss, or else they're really screwed). So the banshee has advantages in speed, accuracy, etc. the tank has the advantage of retaliation and firepower. But as long as each of them knows what they're doing, they're pretty much in the same spot, the spot of life or death.

Really, it's more of a matter if the tank and banshee are close together or far apart - if they're further apart, tank wins as it's not THAT hard to hit a moving target. If closer, the tank has to move it's gun turret further and banshee wins.

This is general case, it's not always true.

Also: tanks are VERY accurate.

lmao robz i posted it at high impact halo aswell, any chance u can tell us ure secret for all the publicity ive given u :P

and Reaver, im not trying to make my self sound better than i am, but generally even far tanks get owned by me just because i have more time to aim at driver, and wenever i play in a tank i find far banshee drivers hard to hit, tanks arnt a good vehicle to me but i still think a good banshee pilot has a advantage over a tank driver even at long range.
