I know for sure that the e3 nade was indeed a fragmentation grenade. I posted something like this earlier and the moderator told me it was a frag 'nade.

It would rock with a new grenade, flash/EMP/smoke, but this is not CS people, its halo! Im happy with the grenades we have now and would think it would be more confusing if Bungie added more.

yea, i'd have to say the two nades in halo now are just fine... leave it be, but atleast a new nade for single player only... that'd be ok...

A flash bang woudl have no effect on a Spartan. There face mask woudl darken so the flash has no effect. Then the pressure wave would not make it through there suit. It would have the same effect as a frag in Halo except no damage how pointless.

Eggsacly. Their would be no point at all of having flashbang. The best would be either smoke or white phosphorus. It would confuse the crap of of the enemy, smoke out hte enemy, or blind them in a fire fight. And if you were good enough you could learn to eork around it, use it against the thrower, and anihalate him.../her>

I've not read the whole thread so someone may have already sed this, but in reply to one of the first posts where somone said "they've shown flashbangs at e3 '03" that isn't true because if you listen to the opsat before its chucked in he yells "FRAG out" (as in frag grenade) sorry if this has already been argued, i just wanted to say that flash bangs havent been shown at all (at least as far as im aware of)

Ummm... I don't know if no one noticed this but uuuh... there is a new grenade if you look through the halo 2 screenshots of multiplayer. It's blue, you'll see it. Dunno what kind it is though.

I would love to have a SMOKE GERNADE because 1. you could throw it and not get hurt.2. You could throw it and smoke would be all over the place and then you could go behind you're enemy and kill him. The smoke would also make you invisible to other peoples motion trackers, but just for a few seconds.

Hmmm... I wouldn't mind being able to throw Light Rods. That would be awesome in the dark, select it and toss it off into the darkness to reveal the group of special ops elites waiting in ambush.

how about a mini-nuke, like a hundred foot area would be completely wasted. but you would have to plant it at the enemis base and set the timer. If u didnt give yourself enough time u would get killed, too much time and they could disarm it. or you could put it on to a warthog and drive it into their base like a trojan horse. or set it at you own base to destroy the enemy trying to take your flag. the possibilities would be endless!

I like the idea of smoke grenades too. What about chaff grenades or something, it could make your visor fuzzy and freeze vehicles so that you can board them more easily. Perhaps it could also desable sniper scopes and gun turrets too. Do you think this is good idea anyone or would it be annoying to recieve a chaff grenade?

i don't reckon chaff nades are a go but i think white phosphurous nades would be imagine throwing one in a pack of grunts and watching them run round on fire screaming it was funny enough seeing one with a plasma stuck on it's face, but a group on fire.... HILARIOUS

yea, it would make me lmao... but i think the chaff nade idea would be great as long as it was only effective in such a minimal radius... I would just love to see some kind of new nade in halo2, atleast ONE! lol...

smoke nades have no use in Halo 2, the MC('s in MP) has a helmet on, so he can still breathe, and he probably can still look his visor when smoke fills the room.
Also Grunts won't run for smoke, cause of their methane mask.

well.. my purpose of use of smoke nades is to prevent others from seeing you, maybe getting by the enemy, strategically, i think it would be cool.
