Sorry, I thought the UK included only England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and another country I know I'm forgetting.
There's people that have internet in Afghanistan, why isn't that listed, then? Should those go to every single website and complain or ask why they are associated with Pakistan, or whoever they're closest to? A country like Georgia gets a place, but Afghanistan, with all the attention and media, doesn't?

England is not an island. England is a country on the island of Great Britain, the island of Great Britain being part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It's a united kingdom, of seperate countries. Tell a scot he's a brit and he'll probably nut you. National identities are extremely strong. The point we're trying to make is that that list of countries is exceedingly short-sighted. Britons only have the choice of "United Kingdom", which bundles the scots, welsh, english and northern irish all under one title. By the same note the Irish living in the republic only have "Ireland", which makes no differential between Northern Ireland and the Republic. You might not care, but to the people it involves (a sizable chunk of the userbase, i might add) it's extremely vexing. Then, to top it all off, we're forced to use the short and informal "United Kingdom", rather than the full "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". It doesn't matter that no one from Americania sees a difference between the constituant states, because we do, as does anyone else with a mite of interest about anything outside their own borders.
But its true, people really don't care about it. I'm not trying to offend you or any other British or English, whatever you want to be called, but that's the way it is (with most people). I care, but I know complaining won't do anything about it, because like I said before, there are more important things to worry about. I really wouldn't care all that much if I was labeled North American, it would be an annoyance, but I wouldn't get too upset about it.
