Man, I wish I could have explored the level a lot more at E3 instead of kicking arse. This level has a lot more complexity than I first thought and I love the hinged windows! My only gripe about the level is that if it is a wind generator (or so I've heard), it's a poorly designed one since its surrounded by walls and partially "underground". Then again, I don't really care because it kicks so much ass!

Zanzibar is considered a small level, isn't it...? Holy crap. Methinks there's going to be... I have to make up a word for this. Frankalamadingdong. I think there's going to be a Frankalamadingdong of fun to be had in multiplayer.

Not only does this have new screenshots, but it has new screenshots complete with MS Paint editing. I'll bet you can't tell where they were edited.

Wouldn't it be cool if Bungie gave out free copies of a playable version of Zanzibar. I think it would be a great idea.

I think that's called a demo. Besides, it wouldn't even have to be free.

Frankie,

Since you prefaced the story by saying “this entire level might and probably will change” and write the article in a manner of “how-to” play this level, I assume there will be a demo-disc available for us to play soon. Please don’t tell us all these wonderful secrets will have to be realized in our dreams.

I doubt the idea of a demo disc, but this sure is a great, giddyness inducing way to kill time until November 9th.

I was lucky enough to play Zanzibar at E3.

The map is incredibly balanced. It seems huge at first but that's probably due to the depth of thought put into the design of it. It has several levels, areas that can be unlocked and sections that can be blown to bits - basically there was a ton to soak up in a short period of time.

CTF assault was a great gametype to get a feel for the flow of things. We played to a stalemate for the first couple of rounds as it quickly became a slayathon fragfest. Once we focused on the Flag it became clear that strategy rather than brute force was the key to a successful flag run.

I'm still seeing it in my dreams and can't wait for November 9th.

Halo 2 was the best thing I played at E3 by an incredibly wide margin.

Frankie,

I apologize for some of my fellow Halo fans. They know not what they say. Truely they know that a demo disk will never be. We are grateful for what you give and we ask for nothing more.

Why can't they just put a playable demo out to the public cuz like 6 months is like eternity when it comes to this game. Even Zanzibar would be fine.

Woo! You know how to turn me on, baby!
I'm gonna put a warthog to block the entrance to the flagcarriers, so when he tries to get through, I have a barrel planted near the warthog. BOOM!!!! I'm gonna explore day and night. Never stop! I need the game! RABIES!!
Why did I say rabies? Madness...
