Alright so I just moved into an apartment with three other people for college and our internet is a package with cable tv, phone, and internet through quest. The connection is alright, no where near what cable is but ya... not much I can do bout that. Wireless internet is set up thoughout the apartment so I have to use wireless for the connection. When I try using the wireless adapter for my xbox (not 360) it doesn't connect (DNS Servers invalid or something) so I tried bridging my connection from my laptop to my xbox with a cross over cable. It works for a while but it is very laggy. I have tried hooking the cable directly from the quest modem to the xbox also but it is still laggy. After I have been logged in for about 5 min I get logged out because of the lag. I was wondering if anybody has ever expereinced this and what they have done to fix the connection. Also does anybody know if it is possible to have comcast through the cable line or phone line with quest hooked up in the apartment?

Thank You, any info is helpful

I think you mean Qwest. Do you live in Arizona by the way because I have my internet through them. I just ordered the 2 Wire wireless modem by the way so I hope I can get my XBox running wireless without the problems you're having.

First make sure that all programs that could be using bandwidth are shut down, make sure all firewalls are down, and if that doesn't work, try logging on late at night once when you get the chance, if the lag is considerably less it just means that other people are hogging the bandwidth around you

if that doesn't help, pm me
