Ok, I was playing Halo, my screen flickered, I thought it was nothing, then colors didtorted, random sections of the map dissapeared and my computer crashed. Played again, same thing, shorter time playing. I think my motherboard and graphics card are wearing down due to my low powered fan on the laptop, I've never had problems untill now, I'm lucky I got this far on the post. Now the crashes are happening outside of the game, I need help, i don't want to pay $300 to get it fixed, I need help!

Seeing as my computer hasn't crashed yet, I uploaded this, it should give you a good idea of what it looks like.

Okay, first off, don't make threads with a title like "HELP" or "HELP ME". I've been seeing those alot around lately, and you should be more specific, like say "I have a problem with my computer because..." or something like that.

Try downloading the latest drivers for your laptop.

Ok.

1. I use the Omega drivers because there are only two others that work well with my laptop model, the Toshiba ones are horridly outdated and do not support DX9. The Microsoft ones support DX9, but do not support OpenGL, essential for 3 of my games.

2. The HELP ME thing, what else was I going to put? I'm kind of freaking out here knowing my computer is obviously unstable, and can crash at any moment. It seems more stable now but I'm not sure about that yet.

3. I re-installed my drivers, not too much of a differance, I will try the Microsoft drivers tomorrow, but for now I'm testing my Omega ones.

4. For all other things, the latest drivers are already installed.

Try cleaning out your case with some canned air, that might help. Beyond that, it could be a busted cable running from your GPU to your display. Laptop cables are really flimsy like that.

I'll try that, but a flimsy cable wouln't crash my computer with looping sounds, and having to manually turn it off. (that's holding the button for 5 seconds for tose who don't know.)

What did you expect? Like he said, canned air. I never worked with a laptop, so I don't know if this would work: Take it apart, blow out the dust, replace anything that looks broken or dangerous, and put it back together. If that doesn't work, get a new one.
