Well it's like this:
My mom uses a laptop for work and we have the family computer which I use for halo.
We have the router/modem over at the laptop and a wireless adapter that goes into the family computer that plugs into a USB port.

What do I do for port forwarding with this wireless adapter?
Can port forwarding screw up our internet service? (shudder as I think of what my remains would look like)

Look at your router's instruction manual.

Forwarding the ports shouldn't mess with your service, especially not the Halo PC ports. When you actually click apply or whatever, it will take you offline for about 20 to 30 seconds while it updates its settings. Then it'll be fine.

What? Play a game? FOR FUN???
This concept of fun confuses and infuriates me!

If you have the IP of the router, you can do it from any computer hooked up on the network.
