No, Just No. CRYENGINE was really user friendly yes, but it sucked it the power. Using 3ds max, way better detailed maps can be made for halo. Using anything brushed based, is gonna ruin the map editor. It needs nothing but 3ds max, and gmax support. You guys think just cause it comes with a easy map maker, you ae gonna be able to make extremely awesome detailed maps? Look at this map for Halo CE.

Thats possible in 3ds max, and Gmax. Screw the cryengine. Its not halo material. Its not ment for halo. End of story. Hell no. Even if its easier, i bet we will see 1,528,321 different box maps from you guys, 18,272 different maps from nubs who think they are 1337, when really the map is just a box with some extrudes, and about 2,030+ awesome maps from us advanced modellers. I know i bought 3ds max for halo modelling (and a few other things) and im no gonna see halo be ruined by brush based mapping tools, and tons of noobs who make freaking box maps.
i admitted that farcry is nothing compared to the Halo engine... (i have seen picks of it but don't own farcry)
but if i kid make a 'box map' no one is saying you have to play it
