if any of you have read the halo novel The Flood (i liked that one the least) then you may recall certain characters such as Major Silva and many others. Although they weren't shown in the game, i do recall hearing cortana talk about their exploits and i remember hearing Major Silva talk. I think it was on the level Truth and Reconcilliation, where he go's on the line talking to cortana. I recall him having a sorta spanish/mexican accent. any truth behind it?

You're asking the wrong people, kid. If you're looking for the truth, you need to e-mail a Bungie staffer, but I wouldn't expect them to do much for you. Those Bungie guys are very good at keeping secrets, so unless you are a smoking hot woman, and talk to the right guy, I would expect nothing.

This is where I hang

-Zomg Catz!-

I dont believe thats the case, then again, I haven't read The Flood... or any of the Halo Novels for a long time. So I could be wrong.

If I can remember, Silva was black. When Halo was in production, the only serious-playing Marine was Johnson, Bungie didn't even do a lot for the Marines.

Here's a list of them:
Dubbo - Australian
Mendoza - Hispanic
Bisenti - Italian-American
Jenkins - American
Stacker - South American

Dude! The Flood was the best of the three books! Dietz managed to put the entire video game into something unique. And the way he described what it was like to be assimilated into the Flood was amazing.

But no, Silva's first name wasn't Antonio. I just finished reading it, and can't actually remember it, but it was Russian. Also, I don't recall them being mentioned in that level.

His name was Major Antonio Silva. Go read the books and you will see.

Alright -- I concede defeat. I found the page where Silva's name in its entirety is revealed, and it is indeed Silva.
