I sometimes play on the DVA server, the CTF one thats always on Death Island.

DVA tank comes in, and start camping on top in a tank. Ok.

Then he starts yelling at people not to camp in tanks, on top. And then when they dont listen, tking them (no rcon access maybe?).

He camped the whole game, when people took him out he was always going back there.

I suppose as they pay for it they get to say what goes, but its not my idea of fun. Pot calling kettle black IMO. I'll most likely be avoiding that server from now on. Rest of DVA seem ok tho.

On the flipside, I went and joined a server run by DoH, what a nice bunch. Had some utterly rocking games on there. A few odd gametypes, but CTF aint everyones thing, and its worth sticking around for the people.

I must say, I did some utterly awesome driving, equal to the gunning and flag grabbing done by my passengers. Nothing beats that for fun in halo, even if the flag run fails.

When the last DoH member left they asked me to watch over the server and not let any swearing go on. Sadly it was obvious I didnt have rcon, so a few people started up after seeing that.

Unfortunatly I didnt remember the name, nor IP addy of that server.

Anyone know it? Some good games went on last night.

In my opinion camping is a legitimate strategy but if he told others not to do it while he does then he would be cheating (doesnt matter who's server it is). Also, it sounds like you had tons of fun on the DoH. Go on xfire>servers tab>Recent Servers and you should find your DoH server. OR google em and you might find thier website with thier server IP on it.

Dont use Xfire. Might try googling them later. Hoping that at least one of DoH uses the forums.

If I remember the DVA clan specializes in the banshee, which is why its always on Death Island. They ruthlessly kill everyone with the banshees, no matter who or where they are, and they have become good with the banshee. They don't mind spawn or port camping and it's generally not fun for anyone not in the clan.

Most of the little kiddies who run servers are on power trips, as if there aren't any other/better servers out there. I got kicked out of one christian server for having the name °Lucifuge°, dip-blam!- thought it said Lucifer and banned me. The KoF guys are total -blam!-s too.

I have played on both the DVA servers and DoH servers, think they're English based. I've had plenty of good halo times on both servers, and can say they're both great. I mostly play on the DVA server 2 (Mainly because... er, I got banned from the main one for TKing a member 6 seconds before the match ended) but the DVA clanmembers and DI associates (minor members of the same clan) are very good players (in vehicles especially) and are almost always very fair (then again, I haven't played on their main server recently). If you have a bit of patience, you can learn EXCELLENT banshee, tank and antivehicle tactics and skills there (mainly becase they play Death Island 24/7) but it's for intermediate - to - good level to start with, beginners beware.

DoH is a mixed bag, really, (a mixed bag of fun and zaniness). They're mostly intermediate players and run a set of gametypes from target slayer, race, CTF (assault and normal) and there are a LOT of fun people to play with (in a platonic, gaming sense) with mostly moderated behaviour.

I reccomend both, and am currently digging through my college notes to find my sticky I wrote the IP address on.

EDIT: FOUND IT! It was hidden in my maths folder. DoH server 195.149.21.125:2351

If you see XooX-Jenny, tell her I said hi!

Bah. Just been playing on the Doh server and got kicked. No warning, not doing anything I shouldnt, and kicked.

Went back in, and asked why. Gutless person didnt answer. I presume I got kicked cos I was doing well (by far) and they didnt like it.

I thought that server was free from kiddies on power trips.

Oh well, back to EU bungie then. *Sigh*

Thanks dude for the IP addy, came in handy.
