I cant play halo ce because I need an update but when I try to update it manually it gives me this message, "error, there is a problem with your game installation, you may need to reinstall the game to fix it"

does this happen to anyone else?

and when I get the downloaded maps will it come up automatically in my maps section thing on halo ce?

I don't know what the problem is. Did you back up the installer package? Reinstall it.

You need to manually download the halo CE update. Google Halo Custom Edition patch 1.07. Choose a link, download. Go to your halo CE folder in My Computer. So C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition. Bring in the update. Replace when asked if you wish to do so when the update is dropped in the Halo CE folder. Then for maps, they must be downloaded inside a folder inside the Halo CE folder marked maps. They will be in a compressed file. You will need winrar, or winace. Download that. Then go back to your map. Right click it, select extract here. Done. That map is now playable. I suggest deleting the compressed winrar file once you have extracted the map out of it. PM or repost if you have more questions.
