Subject: First (that I know of) video of H2PC!

For me honesly, unless they do something amazing that separates itself from Xbox Halo 2 other than a graphics upgrade isn't worth my money. It's just another port from the Xbox all glossied up. Don't let the hype get to you. A graphics upgrade isn't worth your money, unless I hear about some exclusive features other than multiplayer, now if Halo 2 Vista somehow had online co-op or a form of it then it'd be worth it, don't you think?

The PR sounds a little different and it looks a bit more shiny.....more specular? And HDR lighting would be awesome.

how could you say it was fake? He was probably using a 360 controller and I could see the graphics changes.

Halo 2 Vista will have a Custom Map Editor though, and the people making Vista are making new maps for it as well. I just wish I didn't have to buy Vista.... -.-

It isnt a vidoe of the pc version. I rember screaching online once and i found window vista version. The hud looked differnent and the grapchis look like the grahics in gran turstimo just good. That is the xbox version tho u can use a xbox controler to play halo2 on vista.

Looks like the sword will become the over-used noob weapon and the BR will be the mainstay weapon.

LOL! Like the FRG and the pistol, eh?

HDR is when exposure is dynamicaly changed. There is no exposure change in halo 2, and if you see anything in that vid, it is the camera adjusting. I see only 1 part were there might have been an exposure change, and it could have been just bloom changing density, or getting a different reflection angle, or, as I say, just the camera adjusting. HDR would require a large effort in coding a whole new aspect into the lighting model, and, as bungie hasn't mentioned it in any of their updates, nor can I see it in that video, I see no reason why you think it would be included.

How about a map editor which allows you to create, download, and play custom maps and campaigns online with other players?

how about a map editor
improved AI
better graphics
no BXR/BXB glitches bull-blam!-
no super bounces
no physics glitches
what appears to be an HDR lighitn model
interactive inviroments

want me to go on?

The AI will be identical. Better graphics - only if you have a high end PC. Other wise it might even look worse than the Xbox version. Trust me, BXB, BXR, ect. will be in the game (if they were taken out, I would be dissapointed). Same with super bounces, physics glitches, and there won't be any HDR. Also, the enviornments won't be any more interactive than the Xbox version.

the bxb and bxr things will only happen with a 360 pad if anything. There is no HDR.

Also, that ai thing in the faq was refering to improvments over halo 1, not halo 2 for the xbox.

I wonder if the Wolf thinks the Moon listens when he howls at it.

it looks like it has auto aim so it might not be h2v

AI the same?
Q

Is the Artificial Intelligence improved over Halo?
A

Absolutely. The enemies in Halo were no slouches but this time around expect your opponents to be more cunning and tactical in their attempts to annihilate you. Covenant forces will use the environment to their advantage and make your job that much more difficult. You'll see the Covies scurrying under ledges, leaping over obstacles, and climbing up structures. They'll fluidly move with animal-like grace while talking and coordinating amongst their squads. It will take all of your wits and skill to overcome your adversaries this time around.

The Human forces are also smarter this time around. They'll work better as a team and drive vehicles with skill. The Marines also know how to take cover or point out an enemy sniper for an ally to take down. There are many subtle and dramatic instances of improved AI throughout the game.

yea, and did you even watch the video, or even bother to keep up on H2V?

seriously its on the site there is no excuse for ignorance. now move on XBOX fanboy.

Good lord, you're a moron. It says improved over Halo, not Halo 2 Xbox.

And what HDR? I didn't see any.
And what new environmentaly physics?

The FAQ is not all about what is improved over h2xbox.

Looks pretty awesome. Though it's a very early build, it looks promising to me and I hope they'll make it even more awesome.

The future is looking leet.

lol

ok guys first of all

thats halo 2 for xbox simply playing with hd cables on a widescreen tv

i have that setup and it looks exactly the same, everything is brighter and looks better.

secondly,

it sais press x to pick up the sword.

thirdly,

the so called "hdr" you see, is not hdr its a mimic effect sort of like bloom that
just makes everything luster, and its in the xbox version you just have to know what it is to really see it.

so im conclusion, im 100% sure that that is the xbox version.

You can use the xbox controler with h2v and have it switch from use "e", to use "x". There would be no point in putting an xbox in and saying it was h2v especialy when thousands of people can see it for themselves.
