I dint know if this is old news or if it is even true, but since halo 2 is running on vista, does that mean it will be using DX10? Every other vista game is doing that, so i just figured it was.
Yeah Vista supplies DX10 so therefore the Vista games will use DX10 :P
Thanks. And did you notice that in this video the battle rifle scope is yellow. i dont know if thats because he is yellow and it is reflecting his armor in real time or if they just changed it.
No, bungie said you won't need Dx10 to play Halo 2.

I mean the reflection in the scope, not the scope itself. And it might be the normal blue in the online version, but i downloaded it and it was yellow.
Halo 2 will take advantage of DX10. That means that it will run at full specs on DX10. Anything less will be pretty basic.And the reflection in that scope is not coming off the armour, but a light source behind the player. Now THAT is cool.[Edited on 8/24/2006]
It will utilize DirectX 10 for uberleet pwning graphiczorsness, but it will work fine on Direct X 9 cards.
